Haha no real muscle gains, strength is up a little but that's mainly because I was being so slapdash about lifting before my cut

Tbh at the moment I'm reaching the end of my tether. I'm finding it almost impossible to control compulsive eating and maybe only 3-4 days out of every week are deficit days.

Might take a few days at maintenance to re-stabilize. Refuse to change tactics yet. I always look back at myself when I'm at this point and think 'god you could have just lost a few more kilos and looked great, why do you always give up bastard!'

Even if it takes me weeks of small victories I'm going to go for the gold (hopefully)

Sometimes a break is good. Trying to stay 100% compliant to anything is tough. 90/10 or even 80/20 for a few months is better then burning out a a month in at 100% you will still get progress and won’t get burnt out.

A little reset will probably do you well.

    Today

71.1kg/156.8lb today. Am sort of hovering a couple of points either side of 71kg, hopefully I'll get a drop soon. I did take my day at maintenance last week and have now decided it is (finally) time to be a little more careful with what I eat to ensure satiation. Bring on the excess fruit and veg :/ I suppose there are SOME health bonuses too but find it hard to be too excited about them

    Workout

General upper today. Am not really aiming for strength gains anymore, just to keep the muscles working and remind my body not to dispense of them. Therefore am not too fussed about listing weights, reps, sets etc here. Suffice to say they haven't changed much except of a slight drop in some lifts:

    Bench press
    Wide grip BOR
    Rear delt rows
    Weighted narrow grip press-ups
    Wide grip pullups
    BB curls

    Nutrition

2x chocolate Weetabix with semi skim + 50g of whey + apple
2x sliced beef, cheese and lite mayo sandwiches + handful of cherry tomatoes + around a 3rd of a red pepper
Not sure about dinner (If you've bothered reading the whole log you'll know I'm not a great advert for meal planning)

Feeling a little better after my erratic-ness of the last few weeks, am being more steady and more successful (minus one bad weekend day).

I feel the same way about fruits and veggies..I kinda hate them, its not that they taste bad but i find them a pain to prepare for some stupid reason lol...I take a optimen multi vit 3 x per day and thats about it..maybe some carrots for dinner.

Thats good to hear your diet has been less erratic!

I have nothing against them except they taste easily the most dull out of all food categories and any dish which claims to make them tasty involves stupid amounts of extra calories to do so! My main issue is maintaining an easily accessible stock of them in the house which I have now committed to doing (carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, peppers etc which are easy to nibble). Health can fuk itself, I'm only after satiaty!!

Weighed in at 70.2kg/154.8lb. Feeling disturbingly light but determined to keep going. Am probably going to drop below 70kg this time (which is where I gave up on my last cut), just for that extra bulking space later

    Rest day today

    Nutrition

2x Chocolate weetabix + semi skim +50g whey + apple
Lunch will be 2x cheese, mayo lite and beef slice sandwiches + handful of some form of veg
Dinner will be chicken stir fry with beansprouts, noodles, soy sauce etc

Will probably try and progress at maintenance for a while after my cut. I tend to get .... overenthusiastic calorie wise in bulks. Usually because they succeed long cuts. Need to be more careful this time.

Yes I plan to join you chaps over at the workout journal section when I do!

Under 70kg today, 69.9kg/154.1lb. God that's light, hopefully giving myself a lot of wiggle room to gain here!

Will update later with probably a full body session involving shoulders, back and hamstrings (managed to book a gym session on Wednesday so will be doing squats and my BP then!)

Haha cheers guys, not far to go Paul, I'll be there soon man (sorry, purple unicorn didn't mean to assume your species)

I will likely call a halt at 68kg even if not happy. Tbh I'm in a pretty good spot so could conceivably stop now but I'm not at this kind of weight very often and feel like making the most

    Yesterday's workout

    standing BB OHP 50kg/110lb: 5, 5, 5, 5
    Upright rows 15kg/33lb dumbells: 10, 10, 10
    Rear delt flies 10kg/22lb plates: 10, 10, 10
    Lat raises 10kg/22lb plates: 10, 8, 8
    RDL 57kg/126lb: 10, 8, 7
    Neutral grip pullups BW: 6, 6, 6, 6

Normally do elevated pushups for upper chest on this day but decided to leave them till wednesday and do incline DB press at the gym (WHICH WILL BE OPEN!!!!!!)

    Nutrition today

1 slice of toast with egg (lite) mayo + grapes + satsuma + 37g whey
    2 squares of galaxy chocolate
Lunch will be ham, cheese and truffle mayo sandwiches (truffle mayo just arrived, haven't tried it yet!) + maybe some spinach and yellow pepper
    Not sure about dinner

I have to very grudgingly admit eating (relatively) a lot of fruit and veg does feel kind of good. Getting that smug healthy feeling :P

Untensed progress picture below, getting close. Could probably quit now and be happy but as I said above why not go further. I'm enjoying how the rate of visual change increases the lower bodyfat you get. 0.5kg is so much more of a difference given how much larger a % it is of remaining fat

I feel a bromance beginning to brew....

69.7kg/153.7lbs today. God I feel light, it's a nice feeling though I feel so much more mobile and agile, just a bit skinny. My girlfriend could probably pick me up soon lol

    Nutrition

2x plain Weetabix in semi skim + apple + 50g whey
Lunch will be 2x chicken and truffle mayo sandwiches
Dinner will be jacket (baked) potato with bbq mince, cheese, dollup of yogurt and some veg

Workout will be at the gym (horray) but not till evening so will fill in tomorrow, can't wait. Also getting my haircut in a few hours which I also can't wait for. Such an obvious but unexpected thing about lockdown is missing haircuts and getting fed up with how you look in that respect

FUAAAAAAAAARK that gym session felt good last night. 69.3kg/152.8lb today. Where tf is the weight going? Maybe more water drop but may be too conservative in my intake estimates don't want to be losing too fast

    Yesterdays GYMMMMMMMM workout

    Bench press:
    60kg/132lb: 8
    70kg/154lb: 5, 4, 5
    60kg/132lb: 6

    Squat 60kg/132lb: 6, 6, 6
Incline DB press 30kg/66lb DBs: 6, 6, 6 (some guy started cheering me on at random which is the only reason the last set wasn't 5)
    Wide grip BOR 60kg/132lb: 6, 6, 8
    Wide grip pullups BW: 6, 6, 6, 6
Face pulls (40 on the machine but unsure what that actually translates to as it is a fly machine): 10, 10, 10
Rope cable curls SS with tricep pushdowns: 3 sets, no care about reps and weight
    Hanging leg/body raises: 6, 6

god my lifts have dropped. Am feeling very depleted at the moment and hoping to see a rapid regain when I up calories after this cut but feeling kindof put out at the moment. ah well

Nice gym session. Stinks the lifts are down i bet some of that is from not being at the gym as often not just losing weight.

Haha thanks I have had some comments indeed :P

    Today

No idea about weight, didn't have a great weekend so imagine around 72kg mostly water. Hopefully can grind the weight down below 69kg this week!

    Workout

    BP 70kg/154lbs: 5, 5, 5 (with a pump set at 60kg either side)
    Squat 60kg/132lb: 6, 6, 6
    Incline press 30kg/66lb DBs: 6, 5, 6
    Wide grip pullups BW: 8, 6, 6
    Wide grip BOR 60kg/132lb: 6, 6, 6
    Face pulls 50kg(?)/114lb: 8, 8, 10
rope curls SS with pushdowns: something or other, until it hurt

Felt ok today, feel like my muscles are running out of motivation even if I'm not lol

    Nutrition

2x Weetabix with semi skim + satsuma + grapes
1x bacon and cheese sandwich + 1x chicken mayo sandwich + a yellow pepper
no idea for dinner, will have to boost protein though might throw in a shake as didn't this morning

Definitely. The best time to start a bromance is when the other person is cutting so that you don't get your food stolen

Will probably go another week or two. Then at the end might finish off wit a 60 hour fast. Hopefully the 5000 odd cal deficit this creates will give me a bit of extra room for poor choices. If not then I will simply do another quick cut after Christmas. I am not going to start my new phase having already gained multiple lbs of wasted weight!

    Today

69.7kg/153.7lb. Back into worthwhile territory. This week is going pretty well so far

    Workout

    OHP 50kg/114lb: 5, 5, 4
    Upright DB row 15kg/33lb: 8, 8, 8
Neutral grip pullup BW: 6, 6, 6 slow reps
RDL 30kg (back felt wrong so went low weight high volume): 15, 15, 15
    Reverse flies 10kg/22lb: 10, 10, 10
BB curls 30kg/66lb (why the hell not): 6, 6, 6
    Hanging leg/body raises: 10, 10, 10

With the raises I do a full vertical raise (legs pointing directly to the sky) for as many reps as I can and revert to standard leg raises (legs parallel to the floor) to fill the rest of the set of 10

    Nutrition

1x Steak + 2 hashbrowns (leftover from last night, I don't usually eat steak for breakfast, if only) + plum + satsuma
2x pieces of toast topped with heaps of bbq fried mince + a good section of cucumber + cherry tomatoes
    No idea for dinner

    Thanks guys!

At 69.1kg/152.4lb today, need to get to 68kg (under 150lb) this week which might be doable. Might PSMF or straight fast. If I get there and am not lean I am definitely too damn light. Gym in a bit!

Have managed to grab myself a whole goose to cook on christmas, is going to be one sexy bastard of a meal

You are lean mate massive difference. You're getting down to floyd mayweather's weight now. If I was you, I would make yourself a youtube account and start calling him out. Could make yourself millions
