PWCC not only allows shilling, they are also complicit and involved in the shill bidding at times, they are also complicit with people who they know alter cards for regrade/resale, PWCC are basically criminals. I know Brent has been directly involved at one point, who knows how many more times he was influencing the prices before and after. PWCC auctions are routinely shilled.

yea, man. im scared of this chit. i don't get how people trust these grading companies
altering the cards or swapping out. why on gods green earth if they got a fuken perfect 10 of a rare azz card would it not behoove them to try to find a decent replacement? and who over watches that? is there somebody or am i ignorant?
or they just say they "lost" your card, etc.

Uh. You know who you're talking to? I do this for a living.
You even got my whole bgs vs psa thing wrong. BGS was graded 8.5. I said psa was just an authentic auto, it wasn't graded.
I posted an update. The finally said they received it. They can't swap out a numbered card. Mine is 15/15. But yeah, I can see the fear of swapping out non serial #'d stuff.

InB4 card comes back scratched or a dinged corner.
Sent some high end cards to PSA a few years ago, different shipments. All serial #ed so no chance of switch. Both times the cards came back with some visible flaw that knocked them down to a 9 instead of a 10. Fuk those *******s.
Talked to a few customers and dealers who do the grading thing (I don't) and they're waiting on 6 months now for getting their orders back. That's how it is across the board, whether you pay expedited or standard.Boston sports crew

Grading is basically a huge scam. SRS
Both companies are dirty and both are incompetent, but right now the market is one huge bubble waiting to pop. The amount of manipulation going on in the market is insane, reminds me of people talking about getting rich off cards back in the early 90s, it's all going to happen all over again when people get burnt out. I guess when that scum bag GaryV got into cards because he saw how easy it was to convince people of value, every one of his followers were convinced that graded cards = get rich quick and now there is a big rush to grade.AP5 / PRO-Fap

Yeah these guys were definitely bulk submitters. $1000-$2000 in grading fees. LOL
What did the Trout's grade?
No argument on any of this. Happy sales are way up and selling historically buck box cards for $50-$100. No way it's going to last.
Ugh. And you know damn well they do this on purpose. If they didn't, ebay would be swamped with PSA 10s. All of those pristine 96 Topps Kobes people paid $500 for and are now sending in are probably being chucked against a concrete wall as we speak.Boston sports crew

LOL at the Kobe stuff by the way, I know a dude who had a bunch of them laying around, the Topps were/are insane too, tried to give the fukking cards away a couple years back and no one would even take them. srs
Made a nice wad of cash off of them recently. Just goes to show how fukked the hobby is.AP5 / PRO-Fap

I just sent away 8 cards for grading. Took pictures of each and every card before I sent them.
Before this, I used to go to the Philly show each year (Valley Forge Casino) and they had grading on the spot. Take your card, they hand you a number and tell you to come back in 2-4 hours and pick up your card. Excellent way to prevent card swapping.

Hey Op/anyone with sports card knowledge
Been looking at buying football cards on eBay, my friend who just got into the hobby is telling me to buy Panini Mosaic. See a bunch of packs on eBay, but the price for them goes from $20-50 a pack. What should I be looking for?
Really want a Herbert rookie card, but there’s a lot of too good to be true cards on eBay"Stop sitting back saying yeah man, I wanna be this, I wanna be that, grab your phucking nuts and be it" -Greg Plitt

Funny, I have always thought about beckett being the company that blew up the market 84-90s because of the overinflated values and possible market manipulating, meaning they know the prices before the guide is released which is akin to insider trading in the stock market. i never thought about swapping out cards if they are not numbered. What an absolute joke.

You can still do this at the big shows. If they ever have them again. The lines are usually insanely long though (at least they were at the national last year).
Mosaic is good. First year for football. Them fuks gave me 0 boxes and I tried to get 5 cases of each product.
This is what my total is for pre-orders right now

This is the first year for Mosaic football, prizm is coming out soon. If you can find a rookie card or any card that is actually good surface and all that it will be worth alot more if it grades a psa 10. Alot of Mosica has surface dimples and dings straight from the pack. Herbert cards you can still get for semi low in price, if you want a PC card or just one big card to hold I'd get one. Just make sure you get pics from front n back. I was gonna buy a $300 card today and this scoundrel told me it was nice front and back and I asked for pics and the back corner was rekt af. For players to look for, the rookies from this year are all worth something esp if they have a good game, Jefferson on the Vikes price went up alot the last few weeks. I except CeeDee's cards to go up too with his play. You can buy packs but you can get someone who you don't want or some chit players, you could luck out also tho.

i have the upper deck lebron rookie set. i bought it as a kid and just stored it away. it's open so no autographs. i would imagine getting them all individually graded would be most valuable but idk if i can be fuked with that..
what should i do with them? they've prob been touched 3 times. i was into basketball prior and knew lebron was good but wasn't into it at the time. so they've just sat there. i think the box got damaged a little but none of the cards
this set:

I bought 2020 Panini Draft Contenders Mega Box + 2 Blaster Boxes last week. They are going between $70-$120 per blaster box right now on ebay. The MegaBox has a slight tear in the seal but its still sealed and the 2 blasters are perfectly sealed. I was going to open the Mega box and see if I can pull any good cards out and then just sit on the 2 blaster boxes and sell later. Is that a good idea or should I open them all? Just wondering if these box prices will go back down.

I don't want to threadjack or anything but I know Magic The Gathering cards had a pretty big boom starting several years ago and it's still going on. I think it's different than other card games in that there is a list of cards from the 90s they won't reprint but are still used in the game. So if you played back then and know where your cards are at it's absolutely worth looking through them. Many cards from then are worth hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Don't really know much about Pokemon. Played when the first few sets came out but have no clue where my cards are. Feels chitty since even though I know I never had any 1st edition cards, I know I had the full set of the printing after that.Last edited by WHChampion; 10-14-2020 at 01:08 PM.

Pokemon and MTC are going to end up in the same place as sports cards, nothing more than being reduced to commodities. I don't know about Pokemon and counterfeits though, but in sports, Basketball is rife with counterfeits, backdoor cards, scams, I could go on and on and on. There are guys with lots of capital who are making bank off of corruption and they're shaping the market in a way that is most beneficial to them.
I think there are counterfeit cards in MTC though, but unsure about Pokemon.AP5 / PRO-Fap

I never got into Pokémon but my little brothers loved it. They always bought the cards. Wonder if they still have them.

Sending off a 1951 bowman mantle to psa soon. Going to cost $1000 just to grade. Would hope it gets at least a 5 but looks just as good and better than some 6s and those sell for around 20k.
Sent off a musial 52 bowman and 2 1948 bowmans today along with a random yugioh card I found in a box from a trade. Damn thing goes for over $250 raw and looks to be at least a 9 which sells for $500. I knew nothing about yugioh until I sorted and listed everything lol
