Soft drinks pretty much messed me up when I was a kid as well. I used to drink a ton of them.
Unfortunately we're not supposed to give fat loss advice to those below 18.

It's good that you are taking control of your diet - but you don't need to take it too far.
You don't really need keto to lose weight, in a way it's a very restrictive diet. I don't like such diets for younger people because it can lead to obsessive thinking and poor relationships with food and life in general.
MY advice is to work as hard as you can in the gym and keep food intake moderate. Stick to meat, eggs, vegetables (lots and lots of vegetables - these are what fill you up). But you can include some beans, fruit and small portions of starchy vegetables like boiled potatos. This is not technically ketosis but it doesn't have to be.
Eat at regular fixed mealtimes, say 3x a day - eat until you feel pleasantly full but not stuffed.
Make sure you use a well planned novice routine like Fierce 5 (see the sticky threads at the top of the Workout Programs forum).
Your weight might have stopped falling since you started working out in the gym, this is because fluid and glucose is moving into your muscles. The effect won't last forever and you can be sure fat loss is probably still continuing.

soft drinks are messing you up badlyyyyy
never drink you calories - all I can say
start losing weight by only eating unprocessed foods - if man made it; don't eat it. simple. eat food that contains equal amount of the 3 macro nutrients so you hit 3 birds with 1 stone. ex. lentils. also good eggs, have no carbs but good fats and protein.
eg. white rice or bread - only carbs with almost no protein and fat and 0 fibers. you can complement rice with chicken breast for the protein but it's not the same as eg. bulgur that has more fibers and protein than white rice.
I'm a big fan of lentils as it has protein, fat, carbs and a ton of fibers all packed up. add some tomato and egg, throw it in a pan and you're good to go bud
start understanding nutrition first, this is where you will get your quick wins. good luck broLast edited by Amsterdamned; 06-21-2020 at 03:00 PM.
