Horrible day for our central southern hemisphere
Brazil had 1270 deaths
Mexico had 730, plus prob about 600 of ours that likely just came across the border.- so around 1330
Would have left us with about 249

Unfortunately, it's going to have to take a lot of these before people get their heads out of their asses, and for people like Cletus and Dave, they will have to know someone personally like this because they're especially dim.djt = light

You mean deaths?
We can't keep throwing money at the problem and ppl need to get back to work. Sooner or later.
A national mask mandate will save thousands of lives. Blue states are already on board, red states are waiting for dear leader.
Its something that should have been done a month ago but better late than never.

No it doesn't, they're report two different sets of data. The data the CDC dumped in counts from previous dates that weren't reported before because they weren't attributed to C19 yet versus the, get this, EIGHT actual deaths that occurred on the 9th versus the 120.
Yes, it's that stupid.

On the 9th they previously reported 8 actual deaths while the entire media was headlining 120 deaths. Its AMAZING. Notice how the headlines have dried up completely but no CORRECTIONS have been issued.
Notice how google still hasn't corrected the florida covid deaths....
this chit is 100% propaganda.Last edited by rectifryer; 07-11-2020 at 09:08 AM.

That's crazy. You know, as someone who has been hospitalized for pneumonia due to the flu I got from training 4+ hours a day in the military I suppose we should shut everything down until we find a cure for the flu since it could happen to ANYONE and the fact this guy was 400lbs clearly had nothing to do with his death.

which hospital “systems” have been overrun? I haven’t heard anything about people not being able to get a bed
CNN ran a report on a San Antonio hospital that needed 10 “beds” but they only had 3
Then you read the fine print and the “beds” are really ecmo machines, which are limited in # anyways, and being used as a last ditch resortDallas Cowboys

To be fair there are some
People with coronavirus are crossing the US-Mexico border for medical care
"They'll literally come to the border and call an ambulance," says Van Gorder, president and CEO of Scripps Health, a hospital system in southern California.
Last week, a patient was being transferred from the hospital in El Centro every two to three hours, compared to 17 in an entire month before the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Cruz said on a recent morning as a helicopter prepared to airlift a patient and five ambulances dropped off patients near a trio of tents erected outside the hospital to triage new arrivals.
The swelling numbers of Covid-19 patients entering the United States from Mexico comes as many parts of California have pushed down their infection rates, enabling many counties to lift stay-at-home restrictions and reopen businesses.
“We worked hard to flatten the curve in California,” said Carmela Coyle, president of the California Hospital Association, who issued an appeal to hospital systems across the state for help. “Now we have a surge in the Imperial Valley because the situation is so severe in Mexicali.”

Nobody is going to run out of beds because they can keep adding them. Not gonna link every state who's systems are being overun cause there are too many. But if a hospital system is in a perpetual state of being near capacity 24/7, needing to add additional beds/resources, building field hospitals, then that system is being strained.

Santa Clara, one of the worst hit regions in northern California begs Newsom to ban all indoor activity
https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/artic...e-15399259.php
LATEST July 10, 3:45 p.m. Santa Clara County CEO Jeffery Smith wants California Gov. Gavin Newsom to issue a statewide mandate banning all indoor activity as the virus surges in the state.
"I'm frantic," he said in an interview with The Chronicle. "Everybody is frantic. The public health officer is frantic. Because there is no leadership from the top and we are not going to be able to control this regionally or locally... There is no way that we can utilize testing and tracing with such high numbers to test everyone."
July 10, 12:30 p.m. A safe sleeping site for homeless individuals at Everett Middle School in the Castro is closing July 14, just five weeks after opening, Hoodline reports.
Department of Emergency Management (DEM) spokesperson Kristen Hogan told Hoodline the site needs to be closed in order to prepare the school to reopen in August. The SFUSD, however, hasn't decided yet whether any schools will reopen, and won't make a final ruling until the end of July.
Nevertheless, the site was sparsely populated by homeless individuals, only housing 36 people at its peak. Occupants have been invited to be relocated to hotel rooms.
July 10, 12:20 p.m. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is expected to announce Friday afternoon that 8,000 inmates within California's prison system will be released in an effort to ease crowding in prisons hard-hit by COVID-19.
No new deaths in San Francisco for days despite the thousands of homeless walking around and riding public transit with no masks on
