Why, people post "did not read" and no one is going to do what you do and post endless charts and graphs.
That stuff gets mostly skipped over because as you know this is an OPINION FORUM not a facts and data forum.
When you post a direct factual link, people claim like clockwork in order
1. that writer or Author is biased
2. that publication is biased
3. fake news because it disagrees with my current ideology
4. those facts are not true because i disagree with them or my party tells me otherwise( OAN, FOX, Breitbart, you know the rest)
We played that game ( since 2008) and no ONE EVER CHANGES THEIR OPINION; so now just spout opinions like the 90 percenters that occupy this subforum.

I saw what you did, but i went in a diff direction, 2008 "old school", and educated you on what has happened to this place and why it isn't as good as it used to be.
This stuff is very easy to point out; it is all tactics with very little factual basis for anything.
Pay close attention, you too can see the obvious strategies of the most prolific posters in the R+P subforum. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Checking in...what's new in the discussion of politicized science and medicine? Shall we be anti-antibioticics when a bacterial plague emerges? Shall we be pro-snake-oil when some other sort of truly incurable viral illness appears? I guess we should check with the respective leaders of our two party system. Whatever Joe Biden says. Whatever Trump says. One of THEM must have all answers, right ?

The explanation I heard was twofold:
1. Some people who get sick on the weekends will wait until a weekday to see a doctor, for various reasons.
2. There is less staffing in many areas on the weekends, so reporting on weekends gets pushed into the following week. So part of what you see on a Tuesday is the weekend cases finally getting processed and updated.
I'm not sure how true it all is, but there tends to be a dip every weekend and then a spike around Tuesday (like you said). So it makes sense.ALL I ASK IS ALL YOU GOT FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES
