You realize in our roll call, there will be close to 30-40 officers in a room, guess what, majority of us aren't wearing a mask. When we were heading to a possible riot, we were all packed on a bus, once again, no masks. When we ate in the community room there had to be close to 60 of us in the room, unmasked.

The private gym I go to that has opened up again, none of the members are wearing masks.

Honestly, I used to drive down to Austin 1/month but haven't since the pandemic, so I don't know how it's going there. Liberals tend to take this COVID more seriously, so I'm guessing it's a lot of masked people drinking soy lattes and sweating profusely from worry.

In DFW, things seem more relaxed. I even, unfortunately, was over in Dallas a while back and it was basically the same story. Mostly masked people outside, people respecting social distancing but kind of back to normal beyond that stuff.

I don't know if my buddy will get the antibody test. Where can you do that? I'm curious if I had it back in January. I doubt he will, why bother, he knows he's got it now, antibodies should be on the way.

It reminds me of this time I was on a jobsite that had WAY too many safety personnel on it. I was wearing a light flourescent blue polo shirt. It was loud as fuk, so I didn't bother putting my vest on. Just walking around (the building was over 1M square ft) at least 5 safety people flagged me down in their little buggies...from hundreds of feet away. "You aren't wearing your vest!" Mind you, on this jobsite the field guys would wear yellow or orange t-shirts that were so dirty you could barely see them. But they couldn't wrap their heads around the idea that I was wearing high visibility blue instead of orange or yellow. I'm like "dude, you saw me from over a 100 yards away in this loud ass shirt, and you come over here to tell me its not high visibility?"

For the record, insurance is written very clearly. If it doesn't meet exact verbage, they won't pay.

two points:

1) N95 and KN95 masks do protect the wearer as well as others
2) non K/N95 mask wearing is as much about protecting society as it is about protecting you. it only works if everyone participates.
