I'm just wondering what the probability was that he would have had police interaction in the proposed scenario, compared to the odds of police interaction when drinking/driving/passing out in a drive thru. Who needs to be around for a daughter's birthday when they can sleep in a drive thru. Maybe this is why he resisted arrest, because he was afraid he wouldn't be there to see her blow out the candles. With a chance at escaping, maybe he could've at least been home to enjoy a piece of cake before they caught up to him.

I just watched the bodycam video on this shooting. Tragic ending but it was justified. You can see him fighting when they tried to cuff him. He was whooping some butt too. Then he grabbed the stun gun and did point it at them when he was running away. I don't see any other options for the cops.

He tried to talk his way out of it... but the SECOND they said hands behind your back he knew he was in violation of his parole and back to prison he goes.
