Is my diet off? Have to go to the bathroom a lot

So I’m currently bulking at 3500 cals. 5’6, 160lbs. Photos in gallery.

I tend to wake up and use the bathroom 2-4 times and sometimes it continues through the day. Mostly worse on consecutive rest days. I’ve been trying to slightly reduce Carb intake on off days, but not sure why I sometimes feel like I need to use the bathroom alll day to poo lol.

    My macros are:
    Carbs: 398g (44%)
    Fat: 113g (28%)
    Protein: 243g (27%)

My maintenance varies depending on my activity level. Depending on if I’m working, my maintenance may be 2600-2900 roughly. My bulk was estimated at around 3200-3400 cals. I have a repetitive diet due to just money and time. But it’s healthy.

Ground turkey, chicken breast, rice cakes, peanut butter, almonds, white rice, greens, whey protein, carbo gain, oatmeal, banana, two whole eggs.

Are you talking about peeing or poo-ing?

It can vary a LOT person to person... but if your urine is pale yellow or clearer, and your stool is a normal/healthy texture, and you're not urinating very very little every time you go, it shouldn't be an issue.

2-4 times a night tho... that's quite a bit... are you drinking much liquid near bed time?

I usually wake up 1-2 times at most... but I consume a lot of liquids and veggies.

Well when it comes to urinating, I’m ok with that. I definitely drink enough water, I go for a gallon a day. If not, at least enough so my urine isn’t yellow yellow. I’m talking about pooing. I usually go at least twice after waking up. SOMETIMES it carries throughout almost the whole day. But mostly its 2-3 times in the morning. Its not ALOT, but a healthy amount to a little bit. It’s quiet embarrassing when a girl is over. I’m guaranteed to poo at least twice every morning lol

AHHHH i see, ok, when you said 'wake up' I thought you meant DURING the night.

That's more than I go for sure, but I'm not sure it's 'unhealthy'.

Your diet seems fine. I was going to say maybe your not eating enough fibre but the foods you listed should be enough anyway. I had this issue happen to me ever since I started eating high fat and protein. My fiber intake was ridiculously low and I was constantly needing to go to the loo with mild diarrhea quite frequently. I fixed it by upping fiber by a good 20g.

I had exactly the same problem months ago, and the food that wasn't good for my stomach was oatmeal. I did couple of experiments on my self through the month and the only problem was oatmeal. I think because of gluten intolerance, I really don't know but since I stopped eating it the stomach pain through whole day was stopped. Also if you have problem with pooing in the morning I would recommend ya, immediately after you wake up drink like 500ml of water it helps me, like to clean your gut.

Oats are naturally gluten free however they can sometimes be processed on the same equipment that processes wheat and pick up small amounts of gluten. There are brands that carry "gluten free" Oatmeal, the only difference is they're processed on dedicated equipment.
