Purchase a blend and use it to meet your daily protein requirements (0.8-1g per lb of lean body mass). Other than that the only perk of casein over a blended protein or etc. is baking or making something like protein pudding.

In terms of "going catabolic overnight" or whatever the answer is no.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Totally agree you don't need a casein protein blends are good BUT if you like to make protein
puddings like I do then having a casein protein on hand with definitely give it a nice thickness.

Here I used 1 scoop of XTEND isolate and 1 scoop of MY Protein's casein choc which isn't pictured
and this definitely replaces ice cream for ME.

If you already have protein powder that fits your budget and macros and you like the taste? No.

If you want something different that fits your budget and macros, you like the taste and want something that tends to come out thicker? Then sure.

Actually it's has better biosynthesis than a whey protein.
It also has a slower uptake rate than whey.
A good choice at bedtime or long times between meals.
That being said if your pretty regular with meals throughout the day then maybe not something you really need but might be nice to have on hand for those other times or on a bulking phase right before bed so your body has easily digested protein available.
I sometimes mix a scoop of casein and whey protien together with drinks.
Not a must have but nice to have it on hand.

None of which matters in the high context of a high protein diet of varied sources where you eat your food throughout the day with other foods that have an effect on digestion and whatnot.

    Da broscience. It's real.

Well if broscience was the only reason, save your money. If you want to mix, just buy a blend and save the headache.

Bottom line? Meet your macro and don't worry about the type of protein unless it's collagen or collagen based. IF that's so, then don't use it nor waste your money on it.

    hi guys,

I am also a newbie in this community and want to get some advice to change my routine. I am an office worker and do my work for 8 hours on the chair which improves my body fats. I want to start some workout which makes my body lean and reduce body fats. my question is that please suggest to me, where I should start my workout and how much time it shows the results.

    Thanks.
