I saw one video from a liberal news station. It looked excessive (too much force). I also saw an officer calling someone on dispatch immediately after- most likely the EMT. Where are THOSE videos?? Even if 10% of police are either bloody thirsty or have anger problems that make them violent without legal justification, that's basically 70,000 criminals OB the streets every day that are shielded by qualified immunity and the police union.
The real problem is that almost all the so called good cops are really not good cops either. Almost all the so called good cops have a "snitches don't get backup attitude"
Get rid of qualified immunity and have the most powerful witness protection programs and even lifetime pensions for whistleblowers that lose their careers.
All of these costs will be far less than cities are already losing because of police brutality and murder lawsuits.

We as a society give police huge powers because we want them to keep us safe. We had a situation where the police really fcked that up and people protested. Some of them used that as an excuse to loot and riot and that's inexcusable - however the reaction to people protesting against police being too violate and lethal is not to then say "stay out of our way, don't you know people are mad at us for being too violent - don't get too close to me or I'll respond with violence."
