For giving his opinion in an interview.... basically all of the replies are ripping him. Even his teammates have been ripping his response.

Highlight: @readdanwrite asks @drewbrees what the star NFL quarterback thinks about "players kneeling again when the NFL season starts."@drewbrees: “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country.”

LeBrons response:

WOW MAN!! ��‍♂️. Is it still surprising at this point. Sure isn’t! You literally still don’t understand why Kap was kneeling on one knee?? Has absolute nothing to do with the disrespect of �� and our soldiers(men and women) who keep our land free. My father-in-law was one of those

men who fought as well for this country. I asked him question about it and thank him all the time for his commitement. He never found Kap peaceful protest offensive because he and I both know what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong! God bless you. ��✊��

Brees’s grandfathers were in the military, so was LeBrons father in law, I guess. Weird flex but ok.

The issue is the consequences involved in making a statement, not necessarily the opinion itself. Just like LeBron can have an opinion, others can as well.

Why is it wrong to not agree with disrespecting the flag if that is his belief? Honestly don't care about professional sports at all so this is all meaningless to me but I don't understand that part of what you're saying.

I don't agree with anybody doing that either, but I will defend their right to do so. I don't see the issue there.
