    Smile Skinny fat - Solutions

    Hello,
So as I wrote in the title, I am a skinny fat guy, and I am really confused what I should do. The most of the fat is stored on hip and breast. Many people say I should do bulking and other people say I should cut. It is a worst feeling, because I´d always be called as "Skinny" and everyone would say I should gain some weight. To be honest, I do not eat too much, but I eat basically every kind of food that would be given to me, and drink only water. The activities I do are Judo (3 times a week) and I would start with Calisthenics (1 time a week, is it a bit little?)

    Details: 14 years, 50kg.

    Thanks

No 14 year old weighing 50kg has any business cutting. You're not skinny fat, you're undermuscled. Your focus should be on building muscle for the next 5+ years. You can start weight training or calisthenics but I would aim for 3x/week.

"All you really need to do is work hard in the gym and eat regular meals consisting of protein rich whole foods and vegetables - and results will come"

Sucks to hear but we don't advise teens to count calories or use macro calculators that were developed for adults post puberty.Just too many unknowns at your age and can cause an unhealthy relationship with food.

I would still recommend weight training, or calisthenics more than 1/x week, should be able to still do Judo. For example, in highschool I played football and we practiced 4x/week and played a game every week. Still made it to the gym 3-4x/week. In fact most football training programs include practices and lifting multiple times per week.

Okay, I will definitely try to do Calisthenics 2x a week, hoping that is enough. Thanks for the help, by the way

Don't be discouraged about people calling you skinny, or commenting on your body period. Not only are they saying it to make themselves feel better, but you're only 14, you should be skinny as you haven't had the time to focus on developing muscle.

Good news is, you can start now and see results FAST if you work hard.
