Question Why Aren't More World Class Entrepreneurs Jacked/In Shape? (SRS)

Obviously they don't need to get jacked to get sloots or prove themselves, but lots of them aren't even healthy looking. You'd think they'd put more effort into at least eating to have energy, working out occasionally etc. They can afford the best PTs and a bit of time to spend at the gym, would enhance their quality of life too.

Warren Buffett and Bill Gates for instance both love burgers and fries and soda, watched it in a Netflix doc. You can tell Gates is getting on, which is as sad AF b/c he's one of the best business minds of our time no matter what you think of the guy. But he'd probably be doing a lot better if he took more care of his health.

Even with the younger tech entrepreneurs, Bezos is the only guy who looks like he lifts:

    Zuckerberg runs but that's it:

Compare this to some GOAT actors who are getting older like Arnie, Marky Mark, etc. This is the way I want to grow old.

^Why can't more top entrepreneurs do the same thing? At some point do they just not have the time? (srs)

I don't think it's about being able to beat up/physically mog other dudes so much as getting the benefits of lifting or at least eating clean.

I can't even focus on my uni work when I eat like chit lol.

yeah well these tech richies are way too focused on putting their efforts into what is making them money. like it or not, lifting or running for an hour and then going to work will drain your energy levels and make you on some level more tired. it can also help you feel awake, but I feel like that's only if you aren't already on a busy schedule AKA you're rotting and lifting makes you feel focused.

The best thing we can notice is that these rich guys are not overweight, their bodyfat % is very low which means the best hormone level for sure.

You do kinda have a point, I'm more productive on my rest days though I hate to admit it lmao, most productive 1-2 days of the week. I am also cutting tho and make those maintenance days. That said, as you said it also boosts my energy levels. And I'm far from rotting haha.

Come on man. Chicks will Fuk anything as long as they hit certain criteria and Physique is not on the top of the list. In fact most chicks who want "in shape" identify guys that simply don'y have much of a gut. Even if they are 25%.

Money, success, safety, stability, humor, respected, etc...are higher on the list.

    Most just don't care.

It also takes effort to work out, and their effort and brainpower is probably better off handling their business matters. Just it is what it is.

^ here‘s one. In my time as an entrepreneur, I put in a complete gym in our office building for all employees to use any time they want.

I think the number of jacked founders is just as high as in the general population. I know some but not too many.

Oh yeah and most girls don‘t even see the difference between jacked and skinny/lean. It‘s useless to get jacked for girls, just don‘t have too much of a gut.

Interesting insight man. How did you balance working out with starting out as an entrepreneur? Most successful businesspeople seem to be working 24/7 from what I see at least at the start. Did it increase productivity?

I've read studies that correlated wealth with how often someone works out.. do you reckon that's nonsense though?

Aesthetics are for insecure 14-24yo dudes. If you haven't yet realised this, that's okay.

In adult reality the process of working out is not a good way to spend time.

Funny thing is, in the beginning, when I actually was working 24/7, I always found the time to workout. It was later, when things settled in somewhat, when I was slacking a bit. I don‘t think it increased productivity, I just needed it to clear my mind.

Great answer man, repped and listened through. Excellent thinking.

The point about world class entrepreneurs being world class b/c of 100% focus makes sense. Watched a Bill Gates doc the other day that said just that. There is definitely a difference between that and the 100k-10 mil or so club as you say.

Do you not think for some people though working out might help them? E.g. half an hour in the morning would increase productivity/energy through the rest of the day. People on Musk/Buffett's level might not even have that though.

How long did you work out for/did you just lift? Was it whenever you could squeeze it in or at a particular time of day?

I guess clearing your mind would help productivity in a way? Too much stress probably hurts performance idk.

Do you not think for some people though working out might help them? E.g. half an hour in the morning would increase productivity/energy through the rest of the day. People on Musk/Buffett's level might not even have that though.
i personally think you cant have an elite level mind without an elite level body but there are enough people that disprove that

Interesting, why do you say that? Ofc there are numerous benefits to having an elite level body, but having, say, sub 10% BF probably doesn't help thinking at all.

Yeah, thinking about top politicians, businessmen etc. most aren't even in shape.

I'm not an amazingly successful entrepreneur, but as someone who is successful and similarly driven to accomplish goals, I assume it is because it isn't important to them.

You'll notice that a lot of them are in good overall shape health wise, because that is something that is important to them. Many of the work, or did work, 100+ hours a week for years without anything to show for it before hitting it big. I'd imagine that they'd be jacked if it was something they set their mind to.

Could you expand on that brah? Very curious thanks, srs.

That wouldn't require as much work, yeah. I'm pretty healthy now, but cutting so as to get shredded. It's a lot harder to reach peak aesthetics than just max out health.

Lifted 3-5 times a week, only weights, never did any cardio in my life. At times I lifted in the morning before work, but most of the time in the evening before going home. There were times when I was slacking quite a bit. I didn‘t feel less productive, but less happy.

I wonder if you're thinking about it backwards.

Maybe its just more common for people with horrible genetics (physically, obviously not intelligence-wise) to feel like they need to compensate by making copious amounts of money..

Yeah, they're definitely very driven, cut above your average Joe. Lots of serial entrepreneurs succeed in industries they don't know about either, b/c they set their mind to it as you say.

Thanks a ton man. Did you slack when the workload got too much? Did you feel that actually helped your work (taking time out from fitness)?

I'm currently cutting and it isn't helping my energy levels for my side hustle, feeling I might have to make a sacrifice unless I can figure out a better way to cut. I don't think exercising and eating to sustain that/my weight would hurt my thinking though.

Comparatively speaking they are in better shape than 90% of the populus

Besides it not being a priority to them that they don’t want to shift any of their focus and energy into, they know they can buy the best designer outfits and such for their appearance. That’s their ego boost

well there's not much to say

if you want a healthy mind you should have a healthy body

you can't comfortably hold 8% bf because your body doesn't want to be 8% bf

as for the philosophical reason: i think a man should be strong, that's it really

Bezos lifts because he's a man who clearly likes to fuk. Hell, he lost billions because of it.

Zuckerberg and Gates are probably the most nonsexual men alive.

Warren Buffet has already lived longer than most men ever will and is still not retired. For a man who's almost 90 years-old, he's actually quite spry, and his mind is still sharp. Drinking coke everyday hasn't hurt him much, and he's from a time when lifting wasn't common. Also didn't stop him from basically having two wives at the same time.
