    Cheat week 8 day binge

    Hi All,

So I had a bad 8 days where I ate everything in site, pizza , cake , cookies alcohol etc. I weighed in at 172 lbs and by the end of it hit up to 182 lbs. My question is that is it possible that I went up 10 lbs in 8 days? I’ve gone back to my regular routine for around 5 days and and have gone down a bit but not much. FYI I was on a 3 month cut prior to my binge. Been drinking lots of water and veggies post binge week.

    Any advice would be helpful!

    Thanks!

Well good news is you didn’t put on 10lbs of fat, and you’ll drop a good amount in the coming days.

Bad news is you did gain SOME fat, and probably feel guilt, shame, regret, etc.

The advice you need is to move on, don’t punish yourself (it makes it more likely to happen again believe it or not), but still realize that there’s a reason you binged. Whether it was over-restriction of calories, restriction of certain foods, etc during your cut. That is something you shouldn’t ignore or move on from.

Find out why you did and try to address it. But pick up on your next phase of whatever you want to do like it never happened.
Life is constant learning. Give advice about things you know. Ask questions about things you don't.

Mostly water/glycogen. Don’t worry about, but don’t make a habit of it either. Just press on man

If you truly ate a ton and drank on top of that...

If you ate and drank 2000 calories a day over maintenance, 4 to 5 pounds of that weight gain is fat.

    This ^^

Go slow 1-2 lbs a week and eat food that satisfies your cravings. I have been making pizza for lunch everyday this week using macro friendly alternatives. 2 pizzas that I make is 600 calories and 80g of protein. Tastes great and don’t feel like I need any cheat meals.

Thanks all for the advice. Gonna go back to my routine of things and keep in mind flexible dieting along the way! Hoping weight gets close to what it was in a few weeks. Even if gained 3-4 pounds I’ll be happy as I’ve been working hard for 3-4 months now
