Wouldn’t show anything tbh. He hasn’t played a down in 4 years. It would be a low risk high reward move for anyone who takes him.

How would it be low risk?

-He wants top dollar. Locking up cap space on a completely unknown level of talent, who hasn't played in 4 years.
-He will bring the biggest media circus we've ever seen. Entire team/organization is now continually focused on that and not football.
-Guaranteed to piss off 50% of fan base.
-The entire length of his contract will essentially be guaranteed. He could play awful, but you're not cutting him without backlash.

    Reward
-100 "woke" points for the organization.
-If Kap by some miracle after 4 years of not playing gets back to 100%... you're still getting the QB who lost his job to Blaine Gabbert.

If I'm the owner of a team and my GM signs Kap, I'm firing my GM for having such total disregard for the team and my money. lol. It is 100% a waste of money. If this was 2017, or even 2018 after he had a full year off, maybe. But nobody is coming back after 4 years off, after what was a mediocre career at best, and changing an organization in any meaningful way.

If in 3 years Andrew Luck wanted to make a come back and he had the same demands as Kap (be a starter and have starter money) I'd probably say no and Luck is 10x the player of Kap, brings no drama, and even if he sucked at playing, he definitely has the knowledge to mentor the other QB's on the roster.

Well last year he wanted at least 20 million from the AAF or whatever chit league offered him. I’m sure though that he was going to be reasonable with negotiating with an NFL team.

Too much of a distraction for a backup QB... Every NFL team should do as they've been doing and not sign this American/cop hating bum.

Imagine if he signs, he plays, he's still trash but you can't cut him or else the media and Twitter will cancel you, or he's benched and he cries racism.

You've pissed of the conservative fans by trying to appease the unappeasable woke mob who doesn't even watch football, now both sides hate you.

Kaep and the far left are a disease, trying to sports into activists so there's one less escape from their propaganda and hysterics. Groce

He started playing at age 8 and is now age 32. So he has 20 years of playing(-4) in his history and lots of injury free rest.

He wasn’t STILL good when he opted out of his contract in the first place. Yes, there was a period he was pretty good, but it wasn’t when he got benched for Gabbert then opted out of his contract. He would have had to improve during his 4 years off.

You have to be one of the biggest genetic freaks like Josh Gordon to get off the couch and be good.

Kaepernick might have been out of the league at this point even if he had been playing this whole time.

I would love to see him start someplace and look like the total dog **** that he will.
