First time I have watched tv since the Super Bowl.

    Shed a patriotic tear.

What SpaceX accomplished was not only a huge step forward in engineering but also did something that every country but the US, USSR and China hasn't done.

The news didn't even show the coolest part of the whole launch, the main engines, once released from the rocket, landing on a barge on the water like a phuking science fiction show.

I saw that. One minute it's not there, the next it was. I wanted to see it adjust as it was landing.

Not really. A rocket landed on a floating platform in the ocean... Do you have any idea how much mechanical intereference that causes?

SpaceX has shown tons of the tests they ran to get it right.

And if you wonder why they land on water instead of land when landing on the water is way harder, it’s because the nearest land they could land on would take a lot more fuel.

I've watched maybe a couple dozen of these launches/landings and losing the video feed from the barge isn't uncommon. It's either harder than you would think to accomplish, and/or I suspect they just don't make it a priority.
