I get some question. today 5 weeks ago I got my left knew sprained while rooutinely running outside, something I used to do on a regular basis for years.
The thing is that I didn't got hit, or changed direction abruptly, or a bad turn, swing orwhatever, the pain came up in the inner part of the knee suddenly, and I ahd to stop.
After 5 weeks, I can walk slowly 1 km, go upstairs 3 floors, for instance, but not running, no bike, rowing, etc, nothing else. Pain is there and not getting better over time.
I only got an x-ray (I'm in holland, no MRI possible for me), and fysio told me that he guesses is a knee sprain degree 1, nothing broken (no blockages or hyperextensions) but he is not sure without MRI. I see him once a week, so not much treatment. Due to the virus thing, I cannot come back to my country, which has all the means to treat this thing, with my familyl so I have to wait. I gues I might be able to start treating it in 1 month and 1 week, when they plan to open borders. My question is:
1.- If I start to treat my knee after 2.5 months, is it possible that it's too late and I'll never recover again?
2.- If the MRI that I will do in my country saysi there's something broken, may be a tendon partially or cartilage, is it too late to start treating after 2.5 months?
3.- In the case that I recover, do you think I will get back to my physical level? Or after, let's say, 6 months of no activity, will I be able to regain my cardio capacity?
Thanks again in advance!!!
