Curious what the misc think of this, and are you furious at them?
"A couple who documented on a popular YouTube channel their life with an autistic toddler adopted from China are facing a backlash after they revealed he had been placed with another family.
Myka Stauffer and her husband James, based in Ohio, produced videos about Huxley's adoption and his challenges.
Since 2017 the couple received sponsorship deals and video revenue.
While some understood the decision, critics accused the pair of exploiting Huxley to build their YouTube career.
The news that Huxley is living permanently with another family was revealed on Tuesday after followers noticed he had not been seen in a video for some time.
The couple said unspecified behavioural issues from Huxley had made life too difficult for the family, which includes four other children."

My sister has 2 adopted kids.. my nephew has brittle bone disease, and niece was thought to have tumors that would impact her development (so far it hasn't at all and she is incredibly smart)... it's challenging dealing with special needs kids. But the whole point of accepting that challenge is not giving up on them.
They sound to me like a couple of people who liked the idea of doing it, but not necessarily the true aspect of dealing with special needs children.

Lol their most watched video 5m+ views is of their adoption. Made bank off him.
Also someone posted a comment the wife made. They were aaking for what disability do people think is hard to manage but is actually easy.
They legit wanted a disabled kid so they could be filled with praise, but wanted it to be secretly easy.

She used the boy to sell detergent!
โOne thing I did to help our bond was decide to use Dreft baby detergent โฆ It was really nice because Dreft baby detergent has this scent just like a newborn, so when Iโm cuddling a 3-year-old baby boy I can still feel like Iโm snuggling that brand-new baby,โ shills Stauffer between explaining her initial struggles with rejection from her son. โI get that baby scent that I never got with my son.โ
She backs up her tip with eyebrow-raising stats: โIf youโre not familiar with Dreft detergent, Dreft actually recently did a survey that said 8 out of 10 parents feel more bonded with their children just by using Dreft.โ

People should do whatever makes them happy. Obviously they felt they couldn't deal with the situation and God knows it must've been very difficult. They didn't throw the kid in a river, he was taken in by someone who could better deal with the child's issues.
