    Insanity work out muscle preservation?

    Hey what's up my favorite gym guys,

    So since the quarentine my fiancee has gained some weight and she want to lose it. So after doing research I decided that insanity looks like a good thing for her on top of cleaning up her diet.

    For motivation and overall a better experience it seems she likes when I do it with her.
    Now the tough part is I've been lifting for about 3 years and have a decent amount of muscle . Insanity is pretty brutal so I believe I will lose some muscle but I want to lose as little as possible and I guess I can lose some body fat I think im about 12-14 getting down to 11-10 won't be so bad .

    My plan is to eat at maintenance with a 1g or more protien to my bodywieght . Is this a good idea or should I do something else ? Like eat at a surplus?
