that makes alot of sense now that undertaker explained why he didnt step in to break things up back then during the screw job but DID step in to tell HBK if he didnt drop the belt to austin there would be a problem.
Taker had already sorted his role backstage with vince out and had permission to shut things down from that point on.

IMO Shawn's peak was '94 to '98. I really don't get people saying he was BETTER when he came back after his lay-off. Did he have a great run? Yes, but was it BETTER than his 90's peak? HELL NO.

Also, Bret overall was much better than Shawn. Shawn was better at certain things, but the overall package was Bret kills him every time. I think it's mainly Americans that love Shawn... if you ask the rest of the World ... Europe, Asia, India, South America etc etc they will vote for Bret.

HBK pre-injury better in the ring? i don't know really. probably a better athlete but seemed to have more classics after the comeback. maybe it speaks to the level of ability of the rest of the roster.

Brah, he was athletic, had the looks, and was able to get ppl to hate him.

He was also the reason Hbbs back in the day got into wrestling.

Hbk second run was much better but because the body of work he had is made up of wrestlers who athletically were ahead of the roster back then. Back then however hbk gave guys like diesel, razor Ramon, Jeff Jarrett and mick Foley their best singles matches. There were his matches with Bret. No doubt when hbk returned after a 4 year layoff his best stuff was yet to come.
