if you want to build some serious muscle mass (natty) is it much more preferable to have good insulin sensitivity?
is it better to have low insulin levels or high insulin levels?
is it best to get 'skinny' and shredded first before you start upping ur calories to build muscle mass??

Better insulin sensitivity is a bonus, but it's not mandatory.

Yeah, you should real Lyles articles if you want a full picture. We could feed the whole thing to you piecemeal - it's the same amount of reading - but I for one are not going to do that.
My view - no you don't have to get skinny before being able to effectively gain muscle. You don't need to worry about insulin at all if you are not a diabetic.

Being skinny is not only not a prerequisite but not advised. Just get down to a reasonable amount of leanness. Getting TOO lean and your body has more of a tendency to add fat rather than muscle when you reverse diet.
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

15% for a male isnโt super lean assuming your body weight is normal.
Stop trying to find some magic voodoo to getting lean and achieving hypertrophy. You need volume /high reps, consistent work out routine and a solid diet plan. The more work you put into it the better results (unless you get addicted and are doing 5 or more hours a day of exercise only eating โcleanโ and weird about it)
Your natty and not diabetic, you donโt have a hereditary fructose intolerance, you donโt have to worry about insulin sensitivity, it will not matter nor will you even notice at this point in your training. Keto might make you lose some water weight. Just stick to the stickies.SuperHercules crew
