do you have a pre-bed snack to stoke anabolism?

do you have a protein intake just before you go to bed? just something to keep the amino acids going in your body during your nights sleep...

do you have a protein shake or maybe some slow releasing casein protein? do u have a couple of eggs? some fish? cottage cheese? OR do u have a big juicy 1000 calorie meal?
OR are you someone who likes to cut themselves off a few hours before bed time? is it a NO- it doesn't really matter as long as you hit your calories/MACROs throughout the course of the day?

what is your pre- bed time game plan??

lately I have been going with 3 eggs sunny side up, 115g of kiwi, and then I top the eggs with some avocado mashed up with salt, garlic powder and a little lime.
this meal completes my macros for the day, hits my calorie goal, provides a decent amount of protein with some healthy fats. I know carbs aren't ideal before bed, but I have read that Kiwi is a good thing to eat before going to sleep.

    Either or when you prefer

If you use some casein based food, it’s going to slow things down

It takes a while to digest anyways so 30 mins, 45 mins or 60 mins before won’t matter

    It's about 900 calories.

If I'm honest I don't eat all of that 5 minutes before hopping into bed, I usually split it into two, eat one lot at around 8pm, the other lot around 9:30pm and then go to bed at 10pm. I've never liked going bed hungry!

I actually almost do the same exact thing most of the time. It's usually how my hunger seems to pan out and my schedule dictates. Decent sized breakfast and post-w/o pre work meal, small lunch and snacks during work, feast at night right before bed.

It puts me to sleep very nicely and I don't experience any glaring bad side effects from it, but I know my deeper sleep quality is probably effected by it without me knowing.

I have my largest meal for breakfast... I find it keeps me WAY more energized through the day, then I have smaller meals for Lunch/Lunch #2, and a moderate sized dinner + a dessert snack... but I need at least 2 hours after eating my last meal and laying down or my sleep sucks... I toss and turn and get nauseous.

    Usually something like:

    Meal 1: 800-1000 calories
    Meal 2: 600 calories
    Meal 3/snack: 500 calories
    Meal 4: 700 calories
Snack: whatever I'm hungry enough to eat... usually cereal

usually that last snack is around 8pm... in bed by 10-1030.

Oh ok, that's actually really reasonable. I tend to also eat dinner and then a night snack (usually cereal).

Just a casein shake an hour and a half prior (would do sooner but I take ZMA), and then whey mixed with milk when I inevitably wake up 5-6 hours in to use the bathroom. Somehow helps lull me back to sleep. Chocolate milk and gnight sleep tight.

Yeah my reasoning for breakfast being larger is just to fuel up so I don’t need to worry about it as much during the day with meetings and whatnot... plus I like chilling in the morning in peace and quiet with my oats

I usually put off dinner til ~2 hours before bed, and will sometimes eat a protein bar or something similar after that. This is not to stoke the metabolism mind you, it's just because I'm a fat fukk that likes to eat and can't go to sleep hungry.

Largest meal right before bed, usually 2000+ calories; not for any reason of MPS, but I sleep very well in a food coma and don't like to eat as much during the day.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

OR are you someone who likes to cut themselves off a few hours before bed time? is it a NO- it doesn't really matter as long as you hit your calories/MACROs throughout the course of the day?

what is your pre- bed time game plan??
