Former WWE star Shad Gaspard and son go missing after being pulled out to sea.

Haven’t watched in years but saw this and it’s upsetting to see... His son was recovered and well.

I really hope they are recovered alive somehow. Hoping he lives to tell about it crew.

I saw Open Water. The girl was very hot but otherwise it was very scary. Based on true account of one couple who went out to sea to scuba dive then the dumbass captain and crew accidentally left them behind...

Feel bad for his wife and son. His son especially is going to live with this until the end of his days. The old man died a hero but survivor's guilt is real.

Yeah this one got to me having swam off that very beach and in that water many times. The part about a large wave crashing down on him and submerging him sent me cold as I had that happen to me there before. I went a little too far out once riding the waves then I got to the point where I was under the waves as they curl over and crash down. The power of them is immense, crashing across your head and back but the worst part is they send you crashing to the ocean floor and pin you there for a second or two. I just told myself OK keep your cool you probably have to take this hit another 3 times before you are close enough to get your feet on the ground. The moment I could get back to the surface I swam as quickly as I could till I got hit again, repeated that till I got back.
I was in strong sideways current there one time so just having fun with it I closed my eyes and swam with all my might thinking when I reopened them I would be in the same spot....well in a matter of 10 seconds I was way down the beach in the opposite direction to what I was swimming!
The power of that Ocean is truly humbling. A guy as big and strong as Shad is a mouse in there.

This is such a sad one as this isn't another wrestler killing themselves through drink a drugs. This is by all accounts a really good quality human being having a day at the beach with his son.

RIP i just dont understand how if they got to him while he was still alive and talking couldnt they have left him a floaty thing while they searched for his son? All lifeguards carry them to give to drowning people. It just makes no sense they find him drowning in the ocean and just leave him there to sink while they look for his son ?? I dont get it

I read a big wave submerged him right after he called out to them and he never resurfaced after. Maybe he ended up getting water in his lungs from it or hit his head on something. RIP.

Did they say anything on Raw? Or were they too busy touting a man's pregnancy and over glorifying a basic career because I could not finish that segment. Made me sick

Don't think so. The search was ongoing while Raw was on. Now that they've found his body we'll hopefully see an acknowledgement or tribute...

    RIP Shad.
    Very sad news.
Cryme Tyme was very funny and entertaining. Always lol'd during Cryme Tyme segments/promos when I was a kid.

Pop a 40 and check your rollie!

They're selling a shirt to raise funds for the family. Tried to post a link earlier but didn't have permission.

No idea, I expect more details will come out. But it is clear from the pictures of his various trips to that beach that he wasn't wearing a life jacket & neither was his son, he likely wasn't paying attention to the currents/doing basic research as to how frequent riptides are there etc like most people don't, did he know the best things to do in one-like walking perpendicularly rather than away from it etc? We also sadly have to consider-especially from his message to his former tag partner that this might well have been a suicide-If ever I die tomorrow just know I Love you as a brother and friend, now this could have just been fear over Covid, but could it have also been a sign of a deteriorating mind at his failing acting & wrestling careers? We have no idea if he was depressed/on medication & again this stuff will come out at the inquest.
And that's the bottom line, cause Jimbob said so.

That text was from January on the same day Kobe died, so it could have just been him feeling how even the biggest sports icons can be taken so young and decided to let JTG know because life can end just like that

Stopped a armed shooter, told the life guards to save his son in his final act, wrestlers say he was a nice uplifting guy. Surely he has entered the gates of heaven (if you don't believe that's fine, just adding something that's considered a positive)
*Actually lifts but no one notices because I'm so skinny crew*

    Fighting the good fight
