Anyone here have a Mini 14?
Have a chance to get one at a fair price. Seems like a good hedge for legal home defense if Biden wins and bans "assault weapons" somehow.

So, which one uses Amsoil as factory fill? I said they didn't, and if it was objectively better than all other oils, somebody would. So, if I'm wrong, clearly, one of them uses it.
Which one is it?
I never said or implied that in any way.
I said that scamsoil is not the best oil there is. If if it was, not only would the signatures series actually meet minimum API specification, but at least one automaker would use it. Spoiler alert: It doesn't and they don't.
Whose oil selection? What gun, what oil? What optic? What are you even talking about?
I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with Slip 2000 being a good firearms lubricant. lol

I know most ITT are already set up, but for any noob or anyone lurking:
If you haven’t already, get a weapon light for your HD firearms. I’m sitting here with no power after a hurricane and it’s dark AF throughout the entire neighborhood. We’ll likely be without power for days. Wish I had some NV goodness

Again, car companies do not care enough about top tier oils, so they'd rather buddy up with mobil 1 and other oil companies that are good enough. These are all business deals. Do you think lamborogini, mercedes, bmw, etc also use the highest quality car parts possible these days too? These car manufactors hardly give 2 fuks about reliability and focus on performace and luxury. They need to ensure you need bring your car in for repairs and maintaince. In terms of reliability a 4runner ****s on lamborgini. you do not understand the realities of business. You are smarther than this

None taken. Its all your personal situation brah. If I was single, I'd be sitting here with a hoard of banned stuff I'd fight to the death over. I've got a wife and a kid. If I catch a felony for some BS weapons configuration, who is here to defend them from the chaos going on?
Chit goes south, Ill figure out someone who can legally hold onto the toys, assuming there's still good legal options left for HD. If they ban everything but sticks, I'll take my chances.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

hahahahaahahha
There is a reason the oil that most people buy meets the specifications that are required. Like, literally, if you even want your factory warranty on a car, buy the (very good) oil you can get at Walmart, don't pay three times as much for a scam that doesn't even meet basic required specs

Just asked a family member who worked in service and parts for a major motor sports company for 25+ years. Says he legit has zero opinions on oil brands because they all work and like 0.001% of issues would ever relate to oil quality.
But I also know most people here would intentionally inverse any ideas I have.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

I’m in a similar situation, one kid and another on the way. Not gonna act like a tough guy and say if shiet gets banned I’m gonna go to war over it, but I’m not turning anything in / won’t comply. I have a meeting to get some life insurance this week, so worst case scenario they’ll at least have money.

bro even google amsoil and bobisoil
https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forum...p-test.223148/
it's good oil man. It's just expensive so it gets hate from mobil 1 fan boys that are happy with their 20$ 5qt jugs. I do not even use amsoil, but i looked deep enough into it to know it is good.
thanks for the negs farley. seems you dont losing a debate.IF YOU DONT SQUAT, YOU AINT SQUAT

Repped, fair enough. Fuk if I'd ever turn anything in. But separating uppers/lowers or sending them to family in free states to hold would beat endangering the family.
If you want any advice on the life insurance PM me. Probably can't sell in your state, but I've been licensed for 17 years.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

It's not the best.
It is not superior.
Nobody gives a **** about mobil 1 either, you act like Mobil 1 kicked your dog or something, why do you keep talking about them?
But at least using mobil 1 of the appropriate weight won't potentially void the warranty for using non API spec oil that you paid three times as much for lol

amsoil meets api spec, check the pic above. If your vehicle is under warranty, of course use a warranty approved oil. you didnt have to nail me with your negs cause you disagree, especially being that we are both two big 2A supporters and on the same side of the fence. And amsoil is one of the top oils out there. I was suprised Redline didnt do better.

scrolling through old thread i see YGST...
funny how you are so eager to paraphrase things you dont understand, and also ignore what i actually said, being momentum and the rate at which it is delivered are what matter. kinetic energy is meaningless.

I own one, and use them all the time at work (quarterly qualifications); it is incredibly reliable, and a great gun. I would have no problem using it as a home defense weapon; thousands of rounds through them over the years and only a handful of failures, most either my fault or the ammo, and only once seen an actual mini malfunction. Keep in mind our range mini 14s are treated like sht and get about 1000 rounds through them every 4 months; some have 25 years on post and still function flawlessly.
I would absolutely say it's worth getting one in CA simply because it is compliant out of the box, plenty of after market support, and it has one of the best stock triggers I have ever used.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
