Waiting to see how this possible furlough goes before making big buys right now; if it goes through so many are just going to retire that I will have easier OT and probably make more lol. First 2 OTs would negate the furlough, the others would all go to OT check.
We have ~100+ who will simply retire if they furlough or cut pay; our union is fighting it like hell right now so it likely wont happen. They're asking him how he can fund all the illegals and other BS money sinks but wants to cut our pay, and still make us work. I think Newsom just said it for the news to make it look like he's doing something, but you never know.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

The illegals are going to be a cudgel for Trump against the left. This is the first time that Democrats have really had to look all Americans in the face and say that "we know you're out of work, and we can't fund basic services, but we want to tax you to give money to illegal aliens."Florida Crew as of 3/21

They are 'pretty good' as long as you are okay with an NRR of 18. For pistols outdoors, and not under a roof kind of 'outdoors', they are good. Indoors, rifles, on concrete under a roof, etc, probably want to put plugs under them and just turn the volume higher for the electronics

That level is for the K318i on my AR10.
I could use one of our levels on my Tikka but I've been meaning to get a 20 MOA mount since the Tikka is a 0 MOA rail. Since I need QD and 20 MOA and also need to have rings with a low height to accommodate a throw lever for my parallax adjustment, I went ahead and got the Spuhr. I don't need a cantilever mount for this scope, but I may end up getting a different cantilever for my AR10 since the vertically split rings interfere with our parallax wheel throw levers.Florida Crew as of 3/21

picked up ruger charger today. ordered online from Academy on May 6. Never received a notification to pick up, but I called and it's been there since the 13th. Wouldn't have been able to pick up until today anyway but still smh.
OT comes and goes, just make the most of your time off. Kinda burned out on it. Just worked 7 x 12hr, off today, was supposed to work next 5, but gave away tomorrow and Saturday and trying to give away Friday. Been letting bull**** at work get to me and haven't been myself.☆ MissChill Appreciation Crew ☆ Owner ☆ Σ ☆

I always stick to in ear ones, more comfortable to me, not much issues with hearing commands so far in years of doing it. Over ear just bother me, especially with glasses.
Shot from under a corrugated steel roof one, forgot to put in ear pro first. Yup, that was fun. 5.56 left me hearing bells for a few hours; never made that mistake again.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

did say in the most recent email for that. strongly recommended. Will certainly find out, being the first class outside of cpl/basic indoor range.
no appendix carry (not sure why, yet) Any idea as to why no appendix carry at a pistol class?
you need to change your pants?
no lie, a lot of this i don't understand, but i appreciate the learning curve being set here, lol.
But from what i can reasonably gather without spending 30+ min researching/reading, sound like it's time to manufact a rings that don't interfere with your wheel throw levers....the above post is not serious and is for entertainment purposes only.

Union email today:
"With great sadness, we announce the tragic loss of another correctional peace officer who died by suicide last night. While the details of this incident are still being investigated and are not known in its entirety, we do know that our fallen was not just an officer with CDCR, but a father, husband and friend, who worked at Madera State Prison. We want to be mindful of respecting the privacy of the officer's family during this heartbreaking time. The Executive Council is in direct communication with Madera's Chapter President and will be providing any kind of support requested..."Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

There's a lot going on, but basically, I need to make the scope on the left of this image do three things that it isn't doing right now:
1. Have a QD mount
2. Point down 1/3 of a degree more so that I get that 1/3 of a degree back on the top end range of the scope's adjustment, allowing me to adjust further (and thereby shoot further).
3. Have a level on it.
The scope on the right has a level, and is QD, and has plenty of adjustment for the .308 round that that rifle is chambered in, but because of the vertically-split rings, it won't accomodate the parallax spinner that's on the other scope.
I love the ADM QD Recon X mounts, and I'm LOATHE to use something else but the vert split ring is irritating me.
ETA: If you can't see the scopes closely enough, right click and open in a new window.Florida Crew as of 3/21
