    Omar isn't natty, Jeff nippard makes ridiculous extrapolations of minute amounts of evidence and squat University is just terrible un nuanced advice for anyone.

    Nippard is good overall but yes he has some shortcomings in his conclusions from research.

    I'd never recommend Athlean X to anyone. He's smart but his mindset is too narrow.

    Isuf babbles so much it's impossible to understand his main points, if he has any or if he just repeats what his big friends say.

    Anyway, I quite like Brian Alsruhe as well. I don’t follow any of his programs, but he’s articulate, funny, strong, and I love his mindset. He’s been a great source for info on lifting form.

    It does work, for a while. But it becomes less and less effective the closer you get to a normal BMI

    BMI is a problematic measurement tool in and of itself. But my point wasn't whether or not you can gain muscle in a deficit. My point was how he makes it seem like you can infinitely build muscle in a deficit as a non-noob lifter due to that explanation of his which isn't exactly accurate.

    If someone does substances but doesn't want to be labelled as someone who does substances, then they keep it secret.

    But I'll admit that I've never seen anything obviously roided about Isuf, though I haven't watched or read a lot of him because for me he's too hard to understand.

    Silent Mike, Isuf's close friend, is another fake natty. There's a funny clip with him, Alan Thrall, Mark Bell, and Meg Squats, where they're all discussing why they do/don't do substances. Bell openly admits he does them, Meg explains why she doesn't, Thrall explains why he doesn't do them, and Mike says he doesn't. Thrall looks at him and blurts out, "You f*king liar!" Mike just continues on like he didn't hear anything. It's classic.

    It really depends on what you want to learn from them, each one slightly geared towards different styles of training and goals some some of my personal fav's I do recommend below for general lifting are:

    Mike o'hearn - 50 year old lifter, looks about 30 and is all about longevity so teaches you styles of training that will give you the best chance of staying injury free whilst getting stronger with age. He trains with his wife who you will see is in insane shape too.

    Elliot hulse - Can't really get any better regarding strength training and motivation.

    Ryan humiston - Teaches you ways to isolate each muscle in unique ways so is great for learning mind and muscle connection and general physique shaping.

    Not that it particularly matters, but if you've followed him for a while the moment he changed and hopped on becomes fairly obvious, physique changes dramatically after being stagnant for years, odd. Far more heavily using guests... Little odd. The wya he talks about it changed entirely.

    Now does that matter? No. But we shouldn't claim natural when not as it makes the subject quite confusing for young audiences.

    I prefer the Alsruhe approach of just off hand admitting the obvious once, then leaving the subject. Or better the West Side approach of just staring the obvious lol.

    No one mentioned Supertraining. Mark Bell has one of the best weightlifting channels on youtube, and was a phenomenal powerlifter. He was also a professional wrestler (the fake kind), and his brother was the guy who made Bigger, Faster, Stronger.

    Also, someone mentioned Elliot Hulse before he went crazy. I was going on the theory that he's acting the way he is because he's trying to market to a specific audience. I doubt that he's actually the guy you've been seeing lately.
