Turbo cars can be great. My first car was a sn95 5.0. It was pretty slow.

After getting bored I went with a single turbo. It still wasn't fast, especially to today's standards but it was a fun project.

Turbo spooling, burst of power and wastgate sounds always made my smile.

Now, I got my first "higher" revving car. It's a tsx with a 7100 redline. It has a good top end and the VTech at 6k reminds me of a bigger turbo car on very low boost. It's fun but weak with only 205hp. Now I want more rpm and power.

Imo: cars can be fun using all sorts of way to get their power. Never had an electric car but I'm sure the instant torque is cool.

No doubt that turbo cars are savage, but those beast 1500+HP turbo setups don't fit inside most engine bays.

A/C compressors and lines have to be removed. Power steering pumps have to be also removed in some cases and manual steering racks need to be swapped in.

Metal will also sometimes need to be cut away in the engine bay to route all the 4" or larger charge pipes

Or cutting radiator supports to make room for an intercooler inside the front bumper cover at the minimum.

If the car has no air conditioning, chopped up engine bay/radiator supports, and has manual steering it's on the same level as a stripped interior street car.

A lightweight 3rd/4th gen mustang/camaro with ''only'' 500 to 600 N/A HP will make even the most badass turbo cars look slow. Supercharged cars, different story.

My R32 (VW) was my favorite of all my cars to date. Absolutely not the quickest lol very much a dog but the smoothness of that car and just pure enjoyment driving around. Not to mention one of the best sounding cars imo. Definitely will own another someday.

I love NA engines, especially high compression big inch big blocks. I'm going to be building a 13.5:1 565 BBC for my 79 camaro, I just ordered the block and machine work as well as the custom cam from Straub.
