    Using Elbow Sleeves For Triceps?

Hi everyone, I have a pair of Mark Bell STrong elbow sleeves coming. The main reason I bought them is to help with a mild elbow injury: one I received while going too heavy and explosive on skull crushers.

My question is: am I kind of defeating the purpose of triceps training by using the sleeves? I mean, I planned on using them for the skull crushers possibly, but definitely for exercises like the close grip bench and cable pushdowns. I just don't want to further aggravate my elbows into serious injury. Does anyone else use sleeves for this purpose?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    IMO no.
If you have elbow issues keeping them warm with moist heat(elbow sleeves)can make a difference.
Sure they might help you lift more but thats not the purpose and your not at a meet.
They help you get through your training with less elbow pain.
I say yes go for it.

I use elbow sleeves for all of my push day workouts. Makes them a LOT less cranky on average. I have the blue STrong sleeves and purposefully did NOT buy them undersized so they provide me good heat/support without much if any noticeable rebound.

I use wrist wraps very often for my elbows when doing several movements.

Do I get some spring out of them ? Yes
Is it still making me stronger than I would be if I dont use them and end up getting pain all the time ? Yes

I literally wouldn't have been able to progress my bench if I didnt wrap my elbows due to pain, and my metric is still "do I bench more now with them wrapped than I did before ... with them wrapped"

I guess its time to start training again.
