Maybe I'm hanging around the wrong crowd but no one I know IRL makes this much. The whole young and rich lifestyle seems to be very rare. There are a few people I know from high school who appear to make that, but its definitely less than 10 people.
Do you know anyone that makes that much and if so what do they do?

How many people do you know IRL that make 6 figures? Specifically <35
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Almost everyone. Off the top of my head these folks are in consulting, nursing, attorneys, tech sales or software engineers. I would hardly put 100k in the "young and rich" category either - most everyone I know in the roles above are living reasonable and modest lifestyles. You're definitely not worried about how much a cocktail at your favorite bar costs, but you're also probably not driving something stupid, either.

What is up with the misc and being obsessed with this 100K mark. It's legit a moving target. Once you make 100K it legit does not feel amazing or feel like it's anything special. And what is 'young' that's also subjective.
All the 100k'+ers' that I'm friends with own their own businesses.
The others I know are high up corp ladders or work for fed gov.R 1 35

Ecommerce and professional poker. I don't really hang out with anyone else. Not on purpose, just because of shared interests. The only time where money became an issue among my friends is when one guy out of the group is perpetually asking/borrowing money from everyone else. Trying to get you to pick him up because he doesn't have a car or the one he has is always "in the shop" etc. Had one guy I was close to like that back in 2012-2013. I got fed up and blocked his number and never talked to him again srs

It's mindnumbing how much salary is talked about on here without people having a basic understanding of cost of living. $100k really isn't a lot if you live in a big city like LA, NYC, San francisco etc. but if you live out in bumfuk nowhere in the south and you are making $100k then you are probably living pretty dang well. My cousin works in a warehouse in Seattle and he makes well over $100k. It's all relative.

Most I made was 99k. Thats 92k base with 7k bonus.
Out of my closets buddies (6) only one is at six figures. He is a mechanical engineer.
The rest range from 35k-60k. One being military.
Wasnt worth it for me personally. I know you said "inb4 its nothing" but it really wasn't all that life changing when I went from about 70k to 92k.
Zero increase in happiness. In fact I was less happy overall.
Never thought I'd make that much though.

100k is nothing special lol. It seems like a lot at 22-23, but after a few years of working its attainable to anyone with a little bit of ambition. Most of my social circle has gotten to that level now and it doesn't feel any different, show me someone making 600k and I'll be impressed.

Depends on where you live
The canadians, australians and people in high cost of living areas salaries will be inflated. Not saying canadians and australians are due to high COL its cause the value of their dollar
I have friends from a rich high school; still dont know many making > 100k off the top of my head, but im guessing there are a few from there making significantly more
Could have used mom and dads money to make a business. Otherwise, 0

Software engineer at an IT conglomerate at 25.
I made $8000/mo as an intern when I was in school. Now I make far more.
On top of that I have passive incomes from admob, adsense, etc.
Monthly passive income alone is probably about $3000-4000 all combined.
My other buddies also have side hustles on top of their regular jobs. $200k is respectable but not wealthy by any means.
