The reverse... started a new job yesterday. I'm having to shave everyday and even wear a smart shirt even though I'm working from home. Who invented the idea of having video when you use video conferencing, that makes no sense to me! GRRRrrrrrr!
Edit: I should have mentioned in first response, those are 2 fine beards. ajdahlheimer you're not quite Alan Thrall yet, but you're catching up!Last edited by OldFartTom; 05-28-2020 at 08:03 AM.

I grew a beard for the first time at age 40 because I got tired of shaving. I then got tired of beard trimming, so now I grow a full beard and then shave it completely about once per month. I'm in full beard mode now, but it will probably be gone by the weekend.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Yeah not much though, the first time in my life, but after only four weeks my wife threatened me by saying,
"You look so old, shave it or I'll divorce you."
Indeed, I looked exactly like Miyagi. *shrug*
And my daughter,
"I don't care because I've already told my friends that my father died years ago. "
So I surrendered and shaved it.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

Yeah it gets itchy, but if you shampoo and condition it and gets softer and less itchy.
Whats a smart shirt?
LOL, I hear that.
Why would you shave your head? Why not just cut your hair?
LMFAO!!! I remember this one member had a meet up and they started calling her Wookie as she was extremely hairy!
Tough family man!On the list for Bannukah

If you have a beard and shaved head, you know that several people will make the utterly hilarious joke.. as if nobody ever heard it before, by asking you if you know your head's on upside down?
not sure what to call it, smart casual maybe, like you might wear in an office, think you Americans call it a "dress shirt" might have the wrong name there. But not a stained wife beater (again hoping have correct American English, in UK that's a nickname for a pint of Stella Artois not clothing)

I couldn't even grow a beard before quarantine. So nope. My former workplace used to have an annual beard growing contest, I won 3 prizes over the years

Getting awfully shaggy. I have the never been able to grow a full beard, patchy at best, though I can grow a goatee. It's now a bout 3 or 4 inches long, but my hair is getting awfully long, now passing my chin. The plan is no haircuts/goatee trims for the rest of the year. Going wild!

I kinda did the opposite too. I've worn a beard for nearly 20 years. I have this one attachment that I use to trim it, and I was thinking about trying the Miami Vice look so I tried the next shorter (the shortest actually) attachment and IT WAS SHORT. My wife actually had tears in her eyes when she saw me. It was just a visceral reaction that just happened spontaneously when she saw "the face" that she hadn't seen in so long. Since then she has reconfirmed that she prefers the beard.
