No, but I've seen enough reference to it online, and bits and pieces posted to streaming sites, it is 100% clear the show was designed as a combination of entertainment + an agenda to make the idea of prepping/preppers in general a joke themselves. The kind of people who make TV shows, and TV shows like that, and the networks that air them...they want sheep. Making being a prepper look like that...fits in nicely

Too funny, What is real and what is not with any of those shows?

I suppose the crab fishermen and ax guys are working, but what drama gets thrown in on purpose to keep it on for so many seasons? Is real everyday life that interesting?

I suppose so, I had an very interesting blue collar job as a teenager, worked with some nuts. A guy once was washing silk screens and the dark room was next door, he hated the guy who worked in the dark room, so there was a tiny hole in the wall and he listened, when he heard him talking to himself he put the garden hose up to the wall and let him have it, he ruined a whole roll of film too, didn't even get fired.

This was back in the good ole days, back when ya could still get drunk at the Xmas parties.

Exactly. Tough guys don't wear masks.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

It's easy to not be afraid of tigers when you're sitting in your living room watching a television program about tigers. When you're in the jungle where the tigers are, it's quite a different story.

Wearing a mask, washing your hands, wearing a helmet, wearing a seat belt, locking your doors, cooking your food to the recommended temperatures to kill parasites, wrapping your thumb around the bar when doing decline bench, having a reserve chute when you jump out of the plane...all signs of being a pansy ass who is afraid of his own shadow, I tell you what

This is where you are wrong and making assumptions, its as bad as wearing a mask because you'll get a fine if not.

There is a time and place for one, smart people know this, dumb people just wear one forever.

Your friend Dr. F even stated not to wear one in March, he even laughed at the idea of Americans wearing them in public, he even went by science on that statement, he got scared and changed his mind, scared to loose his job, screw the facts.

So, it ain't about being tough or not, but there is fear involved.

Maybe so, like visiting a nursing home perhaps.

Right now the science is focused on the virus, testing, social distancing and tracking. There is also a science on how the immune system works, it is actually quite remarkable, it may be our best defense yet? But it's gotta be allowed to first.

The one thing we seem to agree on, although we don't say it in exactly the same way, is that (my phraseology) relatively short duration extreme physical exertion on a daily or near daily basis is the best health insurance, the best thing anyone can do for the health of the body.
I'd say the immune system IS our best defence, but exposure has to be incremental and you need to make bloody sure that the stuff of antibodies isn't lacking.

Boozing isn't good for the immune system, btw.

A shot glass and a beer is not a problem, especially if one squats dead lifts and does other strongman activities, it may not be for everyone but I prefer that over a protein shake for natural strength gains. Not getting drunk.

Btw one shot glass of whiskey is more than enough to get me talking about wrestlers and other strongman things, enough to annoy everyone.

In our area we are down to almost 0 public transmission, almost all of the case are resolved, there has only been say a handfull of deaths for a popluation of about 200000 in our health system catchment area. Sure the government and health authorities issued the directivethat eveyone is familiar with, and pledged financial incentives, but the real credit is owed to the local populace who nuckled down and did their civic duty. People, organizations and the businesses and their owners have kept their cool, hard sacrifices have beenmade. We have a really good bunch of folks living around here from all walks of life who put their differences aside to meet a common goal. I have faith in my neighbors.

I learned a new thing yesterday. I just got a gigantic air fryer, and I think it is the coolest gadget ever. I’m getting ready to grill a bunch of burgers, chickens etc and brought the air fryer out for some awesome sides. I have some zucchini Parmesan & garlic fries in there right now. Then have about 5 lbs of potatoes cut up. After that I’m going to try apple slices with cinnamon. My electric bill is gonna be hyooge.

If it's just a fancy electric fan oven but on a smaller scale, it might be more efficient as you're not heating a big oven?

How did it go? And did you have to wash it between cooking the garlicky food and the apple? Not sure cinnamon and garlic Apple slices sounds as appealing
Faith in Jesus first and faith in squats second.
Then other details will start to slot themselves into place.

Yeah pretty much an electric convection oven. Garlic and Parmesan were on the zucchini, they were alright next time they might get breading. Potatoes are in there now. Then apple slices later probably will wipe it out before those.

This is a giant Wolfgang Puck model. No idea where my wife’s mom got it. Breaded squirrels might be a win. I thought about throwing some skin on chicken drumsticks in there, but they are on the grill with some skinless breasts. We made potatoes last night and they were awesome. Just a bit of olive oil and some salt.

I admit that I have an air fryer. I haven't tried air frying any meat. Just vegetables.

I did air fry some breaded okra and it was pretty good. Not as good as oil fried, but I did accept it.

I've honestly minded my own business this whole pandemic, but today in line at the gas station a guy said something to me regarding his space (which I was far enough away from anyway). I told him "You're a white boy in a flat-billed hat. I don't have time have time for you. You got a problem with me--step up to the plate." He left.

Not profiling or anything, but where I live--there are cultural norms people are accustomed to. Not that I wouldn't have threatened this dude regardless. Dude was a total clown......

We have the Ninja Foodie Pressure cooker / grill deal and it works great. Used it to air fry burgers and I was pretty damn surprised how good they turned out.
