Everyone says how ON Gold Standard Taste Great...Am I missing something?

It taste like NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. A slight hint of chocolate. I mix with water...could that be the problem? At least it doesn't make my farts STANKY though. LOL

Don't doubt the quality, but the flavoring leaves much to be desired. I haven't bought a tub in years. I guess why tamper with something if keeps on selling?

Back in 2007 it was the best thing ever... Now there are a lot of better options flavor wise, ON is mainly a decent value for the price and quality with average taste.

It's decent. Not too rich but it's far from bad. Double rich chocolate is chocolate milk to me. In addition it mixes thin so I can drink it quick and move on. I can't stand thick shakes at all.

My favorite is PES select however their GOAT flavor is too rich to use daily

Their flavoring is definitely years behind. I promise if someone tries something like PES Select for example he will never be back to ON gold standard. Sure it's quality protein but I believe ON got so greedy that since they sell very well , they don't have to change anything flavor wise.

Back in the early 2010s I remember being so adamant about only getting ON GS. In fact, everyone around me and all their friends pretty much swore by it too.

We're very fortunate to have tons of amazing tasting, high quality, and well priced options today.

Xtend Pro is formulated with 25g of protein per serving. The additional amino acids are not counted toward the total protein, rather they’re used to get the product to Xtend legacy 7g of amino acids.

I haven't found a "rich" chocolate flavor from any company that actually tastes rich. ON's white chocolate flavor on the other hand is awesome.

Dymatize and AllMax make the best flavors tho IMO. If you want a good chocolate flavor get chocolate lava cake or fudge or something.

dymatize iso100 is very hard to beat. their cocoa and fruity pebbles flavors, recently released, are amazing

I remember those days when those were the only edible ones and ON I use to buy in a two pack for
$39.99 for two 5lb tubs. The vanilla and strawberry had 80ser and choc had 77ser and that was $20
a tub and I use to buy them in a brick and motor store way before buying on line was around
then slowly the price started going up and the guys that owned ON sold it and that's when I stopped
buying it cause better options on flavoring and price hit the market.

Yep that was the price for one tub and like I mentioned they offered a two pack for $40 so it
brought the price down to $20 a tub and back then the tubs were white with bold ON lettering
and like you mentioned the demand for whey went up and so did the price.

I was on the Myoplex Plus Delux train back then. Dat Strawberry was where it was at. Was worth it for the taste to me back then. And I only really used them when I didn't have time to eat so the ridiculous cost wasn't a concern. Would use Pro Complex otherwise...another decent strawberry for the time.
