CT time, and my emphasis is on THEORY, a theory I am not presenting as truthful or anything beyond musings, but I wonder if one of the reasons Biden was tapped to run was because of this stuff?

Biden was pretty much out for the count and suddenly a lot of people dropped out at once and threw in with him. If it was to undo Bernie, there were better choices to rally behind, he wasn't like #2 at that time or even very close.

Yet, him being the nominee now -- that would make it problematic to really dig into this and go after either him or Obama, it would smack of Trump (ironically) doing what they actually did to him, which would be to abuse power to go after a rival. Even after November, however that plays out, should Trump win, him going after Biden would look to many as revenge or something.

I don’t really think that’s CT at this point, I think that’s what indeed happened.

Bernie didn’t have as strong of following as he did in 16, but he was doing well. Biden literally came out of nowhere, especially when the Burisma stuff started happening.

The Mueller report clearly identified collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, despite repeated denials from Trump and many of his senior advisers and close associates that there were any connections between the two campaigns.

A total of 272 contacts between Trump’s team and Russia-linked operatives have been identified, including at least 38 meetings. And we know that at least 33 high-ranking campaign officials and Trump advisers were aware of contacts with Russia-linked operatives during the campaign and transition, including Trump himself. None of these contacts were ever reported to the proper authorities. Instead, the Trump team tried to cover up every single one of them.

Regardless of your opinion of Michael Flynn, the one thing that the lefties here keep dodging is the behavior of the intel community. You can the opinion that Flynn is an *sshole and STILL be worried by the actions of the FBI, the CIA and the leaks. What’s crazy is that even after the doj dropped the case and even after the court of appeals demanded the judge to drop it, the judge is still stalling.

I somewhat agree, but I acknowledge that it has become a lot more complicated than that. Suffice to say, the FBI played hardball with Flynn. They ****ing bodied him. And he should have seen it coming, but he's kind of a brash pugnacious ******* who gets himself into trouble.

What sticks in my craw are all the new civil libertarians on R/P saying "If it can happen to Flynn (or Trump, even), it can happen to anyone," as though all this time they've been gravely concerned with the poor people and minorities who the gubmint/police/DAs/AttorneysGeneral have been railroading for decades.
