So basically Mueller (off the record) threatened to prosecute Flynn's son for some bs charge unless Flynn played ball. They also set him up in a lie in order to prosecute him when they realized they had nothing. Now the judge is tossing the conviction. The Russian collusion conspiracy theory fell apart a long time ago. No one bought it except the news media because they hate Trump. It doesn't make any sense either. What would Russia gain by helping Trump? Wasn't Hillary the one doing deals with them when she was at State Dept? Wouldn't they gain more by helping her? Wasn't it the last administration easing sanctions on people like Iran and all their buddies, not Trump?

The question is— if/when Flynn walks, what are the ramifications for those who set him up? McCabe and strzok are already fired. Pientka, beyond all comprehension, is being protected, his name is always redacted, they refuse to let him be interviewed, they transferred his office and when people hound out, the fbi scrubbed his info from that office... then what about muellers team?
My guess is it gets swept under the rug, but that can’t possibly be the punishment to those who abused their positions to attack an innocent man. Punishing these people opens a huge rabbit hole.
Should be interesting.

I think there is a silent civil war going on. And that both sides are going to go after one another. This is survival. And humans can do almost anything when their survival is threatened. I think we are well past the point of having this swept under the rug. One side would like it to be. But they're a threat to the "other" side. This whole thing is unprecedented.

Sounds like part of the docs that were turned over were bakers notes. We don’t know what’s in them, but Maria Bartiromo is saying they indicate Flynn didn’t lie and was set up.
I wonder if baker flipped? I think he’s been subject of a leak investigation for a while. He would be a great person to flip given his involvement in so many different plots.

Rumblings are that the new baker docs could be unsealed in the next 2 days...
Any guesses as to what is in them?
My guess is either more ammo proving he never lied, or a discussion showing they knew there was nothing nefarious discussed between Flynn and the Russian ambassador in the first place (which we know is true because they had the transcript)... therefore what was their possible motive or need to interview him if not to try to set him up?
You need a lawful predication, and if there are documents showing then acknowledging they didn’t have a predicate, along with the texts and comeys comments... it’s game over.

So if the FBI already had the call transcript and knew that Flynn didn't discuss anything nefarious with the Russian ambassador... and Flynn knew that they had the call transcript because it had already leaked to the media and he told McCabe as much...
1) What lawful predicate did they have to investigate Flynn? They knew he didn't commit a crime already...
2) Why didn't they inform him of his rights, encourage an attorney, etc? Why was Comey bragging about sending over corrupt agents (strzok) in the chaos of a transition?
3) If there were any discrepancies or if Flynn said he couldn't remember... why didn't they pull out the call transcript to refresh his memory to gain clarification?
4) Why did the agents initially say they didn't think he was lying?
5) Why did they deliberate on the 302 for weeks before ultimately alleging he lied?
The list goes on and on, but I've been asking these same questions for 2 years. Sillie and the libs called me a conspiracy theorist. We will see who is right, once again, in the end.

It was painfully obvious to anyone willing to look at the facts of the case that Flynn was set up and later coerced into a plea deal simply because he became a political opponent of Obama. Obama weaponized the intel community, plain and simple. As Schumer said-- if you take on the intel community, they have 6 ways from sunday of getting back at you.
Trump took on the intel community, and while they are still desperately trying to protect their imagine, the truth is starting to come out.

I wonder if Trump will offer him a job when he is exonerated. I wonder if he would even want to go back to public service.

Trump needs to punt Chris Wray ASAP. I believe he was recommended by Rosenstein, and he has been part of the problem from the day he took his position.
-- He directly and publicaly contradicted the Nunes memo when it came out regarding FISA abuse... which proved to be 100% true.
-- He has swept the FISA abuse under the rug and recommended bias training and useless additional steps to the FISA process that will just be broken.
-- He and the FBI have continued to redact materials that are not a threat to national security or sources... but do expose the corruption within the FBI as it relates to spygate
-- His office has slow walked important documents to congress and other oversight committees
-- His office withheld exculpatory evidence in the Flynn case
And those are just the tip of the iceberg. Wray is in way over his head and he has shown that his primary goal is to maintain credibility of the FBI, and in doing so, he is willing to cover up the past corruption and let innocent people burn. His goal is to slow walk everything with hopes that Trump isn't re-elected and it can all be swept under the rug.
Replace Wray with Flynn.

Trump. Flynn has remained silent, which was the goal all along for the former Obama team. Flynn's story is going to be a goldmine once his case is over.
Though I don't remember trump being specifically asked about if Flynn would rejoin his admin. I thought it was more along the lines of, now that we know of the corruption, what are you going to do? It's bad optics to pardon Flynn. Flynn's case needs to be tossed.
