We know what the market is, but it doesn't make it right. Why does the QB market has to be where when a contract is up, they have to be the next highest paid QB. This is the reason why chit like goff and wentz happens, and now teams are phukked. This can be avoided if teams had balls to tell their agents to kick rocks and come back with a reasonable offer.
It should based on their talent and results. Clown league.

Except with grooming a rookie or other QB you get to not overspend money which then can be used on other players.
Defense sucking is actually pretty easy. It's like 2015 where the offense couldn't stay on the field and defense was gassed af. same chit here
Romo was actually fukcing good. he just never had the team Dak has. Those record numbers were due to the opposing defenses playing PREVENT DEFENSE lol do you even context? I know you don't watch the games due to your response. srs Also any team up by three or more scores are gonna chill. we've even seen it time and time again. Imagine saying I have an IQ of a peanut but you think Dak is Elite.. lol this is gold. If he was so Elite he would've done more to get us into the playoffs those years he didn't. If he was really elite he would throw to the players hands not behind him. Dallas fans lost af
Imagine breaking your ankle and thinking you'll be 100% in a year. That chit doesn't heal fast. Maybe in two. You were one of the ones that has seen how Dak chit's the bed in crucial moments but still want prescott being signed to his huge contract. Where logic go?
Because there's nothing better so I gotta settle an overpay for Dak. Seems legit..R.I.P Greg Plitt

Hey man, let's overpay an average af QB. It's okay if he does chit like this
In one of y'all favorite "record" games.
Imagine being okay and wanting Dak to be signed or saying he is elite when he makes decisions like that .. lolol.
Another one in an important game to go to the playoffs

For the people that think if we drafted a rookie qb to “save money” for the defense what makes you tards think Stephen Jones will actually spend money and spend it right? Remember all those free agents that came last year? 0 worked out because our front office is full of morons. Our last big signing was carr. how was that? And I’m sure we’ll draft a stud qb because looking at our past drafts we never miss on a 1st rounder just lol. But I think a lot of people itt think romo was elite and still sleep in his jersey

Romo made his share of bone head plays, but they were always amplified by Dallas always being on prime time games. All QBs have chit games and take horrible losses. Romo carried that organization during his tenure there. The front office did a horrible job building a team around him until it was too late.

Never been impressed with Watson and him vs Rayne is a wash in fact I’d rather have 4 bc he knows the team. Moving up for a QB would set back our defensive draft rebuild with a loss of picks so the only option is to pay the QB. they need to replace 77 more than they need to replace 4, dude is done. They paid Romo twice and he carried this team more than Dak does but there really isn’t a better option for winning now with this team so pay him.
Fixing the OL, LBs and S will put this team in the playoffs. If they get turnovers and run the ball 4 can get them there. Never been high on Dak and no he is not elite but he’s improved every year and for that reason I’m on the side of giving him the keys. There’s no one better coming through the door. The FO needs to fkn suck it up and get the contract done. It’s their fault we’re in this mess in the first place. Could have already signed him for much less years ago and he’d be less of a hit than he is now.Discipline is the bridge between goal and accomplishment

I've always looked at it from the perspective of if you are on a team that requires you to pass the ball 40+ times to win you're going to throw picks. Further, the only reason some of his INT's were soul crushing is because they were in a position to win a game because of him. And people blaming that 2007 playoff game on him has always galled me. He threw a great pass on 3rd down and Crayton stopped his route. It should have been a touchdown. I don't think many guys would have great success on essentially 4th and goal from the 23 against that front to win the game.
All that said, it will be interesting to see how Dak does going forward. Agreed with MYO, not a better option so he's going to have to make due with fat checks and thereby less talent surrounding him thanks to the Jones'.

For sure. And I agree, he did have the entire game to throw more than one TD before that. And yea that game... pain. I don't know if any of you guys listen to the Ticket but a few of them dog him hard for his broadcasting, golf, etc and it pisses me off gud. I feel like he doesn't get the respect he deserves for a few different reasons and they forget how fkn amazing he was. Was always near the top in 4th qtr comebacks and all that.

All of romo team failures weren’t on him. Someone mentioned that brutal crayton drop which is true. Should your starting qb be holding for a fga, no but he was put in that spot and we know the rest . That 4&1 yolo pass to dez was one of the best passes you’ll see and he caught it but oh well, I often wonder why the fuc we just didn’t run on 4&1. Point is like him or not teams like Indy, wft, nyj, etc would take him in a second. And yeah he’s the best qb in our division, not really even close . If your mad at people getting paid be mad at bums like jaylon smith who is completely useless

Lots of good points in the last several posts. But I don't really feel like quoting all of them. But I'll say this; I wasn't a believer in Dak initially, even after his great rookie season. When I expressed those feelings here in the forums, I took a lot of slack for it. I said that I needed to see more, and based on what I have seen so far, I'm not convinced he will be the Cowboys QB of the future. My opinion on that has changed a bit now. I think he is starting to show he has the potential to be a great QB. At this point, I do say he deserves to get paid. I know it would be a gamble, but there aren't any better options out there.
Now, all this being said......................... Romo > Dak, IMO.

lol I've watched every Cowboys game for as long as I can remember... been a day 1 since I came out the womb homie. You don't think Dak is a top 5-7 QB? Dude puts up legit numbers.... name me a perfect QB that doesn't make the occasional boneheaded plays? (outside of Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes)... but yeah lets go ahead and draft some young unproven QB so he can win us that Super Bowl.... there's no way a Rookie will make boneheaded plays like Dak does right? Bet he'll hit the WRs in the sweet spot every single time. Just LOL. Record numbers are still Record numbers my guy... you're just a Dak hater and your comments prove that.
Just pick that sh!t up!

hurr durr stats
how did those stats help us win games? if Dak was so great, he'd have those stats from the beginning of the game not playing catch up due to his mistakes that have happened, yearly, every game almost. You're just a box score watcher my guy and your comments prove it. If not you'd see how many times Dak has held us back in multiple crucial games in the past, as well as how he'd have those last few hundred yards and TDs in garbage time which lead to said stats. I'm just a realist that isn't wooed by simple stats but true impact and ability to move the chains.

Dak led the most efficient offense in neutral game scripts in 2019. That's - 8/+8 either way.
+113 point differential and went 8-8, the last team to get close to accomplishing that was the 2009 chargers who had a +117 and went 9-7.
The Browns just went 11-5 with a -13.
Stop being an idiot and regurgitating ******** and Cowherd.
It's embarrassing. If you're going to be a condescending dick, at least be correct.
Edit: I'm also old enough to remember when 27.5apy was an overpay.Last edited by headinahole; 02-03-2021 at 12:24 PM.

LMAO
That's why stats are retarded as fuk as well as anyone who follows them. They don't tell the whole story. So we forgetting how stagnant the offense was, and how he failed to move the chains when we needed it.
That's the problem nowadays. Every dude now follows stats and it's taking the beauty of the game away
If i'm an idiot what are you?
If stats say a QB is good, then he is elite and should be overpaidR.I.P Greg Plitt

This is ignorance at its finest lmao name a better QB than Dak that is available rn.... "crickets".... Definitely not a box score watcher 'my guy'. Dak can be inconsistent at times and still be considered Elite. Have there been games where Dak has held us back? Sure. But Dak has also been the leader in 4th Quarter comebacks out of all Qbs since 2016...but I'm sure you think he just sucks and isn't clutch. Judging off your comments, you might be the biggest Dak hater I've ever seen. Did he steal your girl or something?
Just pick that sh!t up!

"Let's overpay an average QB because we have nothing better" lmao
It's not like we are contenders either, and are a qb away. We got so many holes
Imagine in this day and age where elite and quality lost its definition
I don't really think I am a Dak hater. I just put out facts out there and y'all Cowboy fans gets pissed af lol
If dak would be coming through i'd be happy. But he ain't gonna do it
Do you guys just ignore the context of the game and what your eyes tell you, along with following what the medias and stats say? I think so. srsR.I.P Greg Plitt
