    From July 1st

    Bench 170x8x2 second set felt weird and I stopped in the middle twice to check that the weights were balanced. Still got 8 reps so I’ll count it
    Bent over rows: 155x8x2 still felt really sketchy
    Ohp 110x8x2 last two reps VERY VERY hard form fell apart but I just barely locked out
    Pull-ups 3x5 dead hang. Failed rep#15



    I think I want to switch all my lifts to a 3x5 (I’ll probably add reps to pull-ups since I can’t add weight to that one)

    Thinking it’ll be easier to progress since I seem to be stalling a lot more recently.


    Thinking I’ll try to the same weights, but 3x5 instead of 2x8 and adjust based on results

    Seriously considering a deload and/or a few weeks off of lifting.

    Feeling kinda worn out/unmotivated and I think a break would do me some good. I also probably need to get back into cardio—definitely want to be better conditioned before my bjj studio opens back up, but who the **** knows when that will happen.

    Lifted a bit today. Nothing worth logging though.


    Gonna take a break from lifting till school starts up. Loaned my home gym out to my fall roommate, he’s gonna bring it with him when he moves back into our house.

    In the meantime I’m gonna be taking about a week off from everything then start working on diet/cardio. Been with my parents this summer ‘cause of COVID so I haven’t had much control over my meals. Gonna see if I can’t get that sorted, find out for sure what my TDEE is, and then do a nice slow cut.

    We’ll see if I actually end up doing any cardio since right now my only real option is running. And I HATE running.
