I've been experiencing it and it's no joke, but I can also attest to the fact the these lockdowns compound the issue. I'll feel better when I have more to do. Sitting around thinking about every ache and pain just makes it worse.

what's the purpose of important medical things like 1 on 1 mental health and doctor appointments being distanced via phone or zOoM. when millions of people working essential jobs, or not, still have to go to work in-person taking public transportation and working in buildings of 20-100 people doing physical jobs and heavily breathing close quarters.

like what is the difference between a nurse wearing a surgical mask in a hospital taking care of several patients an hour... while GP's can't do the same for a small number of patients a day.

i know 2 people who died from drug overdose and 1 person who committed suicide in the summer. lack of mental health support definitely contributed. i can't deny that i also have been severely suicidal as well srs. phone or zoom does jack **** for me

I'd say that a nurse caring for people who have to be hospitalized is how people who have to be hospitalized get taken care of, but an otherwise healthy person who needs to get their blood pressure or cholesterol Rx updated doesn't have quite the same level of importance on face-to-face physically in person

makes no sense. im just super stressed out at the lack of mental health support. even my counselor i was seeing stopped working. i took up the bottle of whiskey again, started with 2 shots a week, 2 shots a day, i'm on like 6-8 shots a day now lol. also tried cutting twice. suicidal thoughts are strong as ****. some nights i just hold a knife to my neck all night. idk why they do this. at least leave the mental health support normal or wear masks during the appointments. ****ing sinking here m8

I was just catching myself up and read that the lungs are presenting differently than before in imaging (moving away from "ground glass opacity").

Another poster asked about seeing a trend of more newly diagnosed people vomiting early in their illness and a third asked about the symptoms starting w/sore throat.

That second bit was of interest to me because I just found out this morning that I was exposed the Thursday & Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. It was an older man who is kind of like an uncle (friend of my father's) who drove my daughter and I to do some things. He actually got tested that Sunday, but he wasn't able to get access to his results until yesterday. He had a sore throat to start and says now vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.

Srs if it is getting that bad you can go to an ER and potentially go in-patient. Maybe check around about getting better internet access via a different device or a different service. Do you have internet at home other than your phone? Maybe you could get access to wifi someplace if the phone is all you have. You might also ask if your therapist can just make a normal phone call to you if your phone service is okay and your data is the problem.

ER is bull****. i once went to the ER and said i'm thinking about suicide. but then I was denied help because I had a concussion, apparently they don't help people who have had concussions
