Mental Health problems = Chronic Stress. Chronic stress decreases the immune system.
Studies show that social isolation (post surgery) also decreases the immune system, and significantly increases the mortality rate. People with COVID isolate, and we've been in and out of Lockdowns/business closures (here in Europe at least) since spring.
2020 has been one terrible ride for mental health in a number of nations. Especially with the MSM pumping out fear, lockdowns destroying the economy, the BLM/Antifa riots, and now the 2020 election fiasco.
An esoteric healer I listen to (who admittedly I see as a bit wacky with some of the things he says about current affairs), strongly advises people to avoid the MSM and debating politics, and to bring as much peace and enjoyment into our lives despite what is happening, because to do otherwise is bad for health. 2020 being the rollercoaster that it is, people who are glued to current affairs are taking in chronic stress.
I never watch the MSM, except when around family members, and anytime I watch it I feel a sense of apathy. I don't even get that sense if I listen to 'conspiracy' guys, because they often give a message of hope... The MSM doesn't IMO.If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

this is good advice. This period of isolation is unprecedented and I wonder what the diagnosis of mental illness is for people without Covid. That being said, we are still trying to under SARSII and it would be foolish to think that it couldn't cause a myriad of issues, exacerbated by the lockdowns

I agree.
I'm sure there are people who do have long term problem directly due to COVID.
I have had long term gut issues that I have to manage with a strict diet due to a bout of food poisoning 4 years ago. I literally didn't know that was possible, until I found out from the Doctors that it can and does happen to people. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

"One of first volunteers to get Pfizer's experimental coronavirus vaccine reported suffering a "severe hangover" after his first shot."
https://twitter.com/TheClarkFirm/sta...63839576895489
I donΒ΄t have much faith in this vaccine. It hasnΒ΄t even been screened for ADE, and itΒ΄s a total new type of vaccine. Yet the stock market is soaring on vaccine news for like the 5th time, clinging to any hope like the addicts they are (investors). Clown world. CanΒ΄t wait to see the stock market crash again like it did in March. Hurrrr durrrr we will have a vaccine soon and this will all be over. Maybe, but probably not. Hospitals are almost at full capacity in some regions, again. ItΒ΄s not like a vaccine will suddenly fix everything. And no vaccine has yet to be proven long term safe or effective.
Because this means that the virus is actually just producing antibodies.. you know, the antibodies that the spike protein that our body is producing has the ability to evade, shapeshift against and is pretty much resistant towards?
This vaccine ain't gonna do much. IΒ΄m pondering wether my IQ has decreased because of covid brain damage. It used to be aorund 130, so maybe itΒ΄s more like 125 now.... My memory and concentration has worsened over the past year, but there are many factors of course, but who knows. We will definitely see a global IQ decline tho cuz of covid.
Well, can't forget that we're also in the Ecopocalypse timeline.

There are no countries in which the majority wore masks in a covid mitigating manner.
Sorry.
(not sorry)
But since you want to explore the topic, Japan comes to mind as the closest...let's see...their per-capita death rate is currently #147 in the world. Seems okay. I mean, USA is #10, mask heavy Japan is #147...yeah seems about right after all? Vietnam, #190? South Korea, #159? But hey USA #10 sure proved them! lol

Disingenuous response.
The culture of masks is in China thanks to their pollution & if you try to post their "official" death figures it will be laughable.
Also, it takes a special kind of dufus to try to defend against the prevailing accepted point in science that masks are not 100% effective.Formerly HandBrah, LipBrah & FootBrah

Solid reading comprehension old boy, pretty sure my OP made a comparison of covid death rates & mask effectiveness.
Like I said, it takes a special kind of dufus.
And that will be my last post in response to you as I prefer to debate with people with reading comprehension skills greater than my 7 month olds.Formerly HandBrah, LipBrah & FootBrah

So, uh, which countries are you imagining that are just riddled with covid death despite being staunch mask wearers even before the pandemic?
Keep making up lies then running away because you know you don't have jack sht.

Countries is plural. Is English not your first language? Pro Tip: "Countries" is more than one.
But hey feel free to conveniently ignore every single country in the world except China. I'm sure that relying solely on what China tells you can only be a good thing.
I'm sure it's totally a complete coincidence that all of those other countries, that aren't China, like Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and others...totally a coincidence they accepted masks long ago and have far lower covid death rates than the US.
I look forward to your 4th response, after declaring you were done responding, in which you dodge your own topic because you know you're literally wrong about everything and yet you just can't stop reminding us of that fact lol

https://www.cfr.org/in-brief/which-c...0case%20counts.
Self reported mask wearing outside of the home.
Country/ %Compliance / Death rate
Singapore - 93% - 5
Philipines - 92% - 70
Brazil - 90% - 767
UAE - 89% - 53
India - 88% - 93
Spain - 87% - 858
Italy - 79% - 711
Vietnam - 67% - .4
Usa - 65% - 746
Norway - 3% - 54
Sweden - 3% - 605
Finland - 1% - 66
I think finding any kind of correlation to mask usage and death/infection rate is a stretch.

Point stands, there is no evidence that suggests that mask compliance lowers death rate, as was suggested. There is no evidence that countries would be more or less truthful with self reporting, or that certain countries wear their masks as directed better than other countries.
I believe that masks help to a small degree when proper distancing measures are not available, such as in a crowded city bus, but there is no evidence to suggest that masks have made an appreciable difference in the rate of infection and or deaths.
interesting snip from that link:
Although many countries without mandates still recommend wearing masks, some countries with low case counts have actively discouraged citizens from wearing them, arguing that the costs outweigh the benefits. For example, Norwayβs health agency stated that transmission rates there are so low that two hundred thousand people on average would have to wear masks in order to prevent a single COVID-19 case.

People didn't regularly walk around wearing masks in Sweden for decades before this. Sorry.
EVERYONE is not "masking" in the US. Not, even, close.
I believe there are too many variables, especially when comparing completely different countries, to find a statistically significant and direct relationship between ___ and supposed mask usage. But, it is interesting to me that the asian countries that come to mind as accepting and semi-commonly using masks before this are in fact much better off than the US in the one big final metric of deaths per capita.
Still wondering what countries he was "asking" about too.

Think it's also important to note that most Asian countries have a sub 10% obesity rate, meanwhile the US is supersized at over 35%.

Anyone got some stats or articles on how many hospitals or temporary hospitals we've built since this started ~10 months back?
I recall hearing the single Wuhan 3 day "Coronavirus hospital" and little else in the US, although I hear of the constant hospital surge fear and that being the main driver for shutting everything down constantly.
