Boy is back in jujitsu tonight, trying to get the routine back. Ive been worried about some of the kids around here, they have no gravity in their life the last 3-4 months.
Saw my neighbors 9yo riding his scooter up the middle of the street with his shirt around his head yesterday 10 oclock at night.------♥♥-----

TXBuddy, kinda feel like Vex does, hopefully you can work it out. You can always drink and chitpost ITT to unwind.
So we had that skunk milling around our neighbors' recently, tonight we had a porcupine wander through. Mind you, I can probably count on one hand how many times I've seen a live porcupine that wasn't roadkill in the wild on one hand. My boss, who lives in a dense condo development up against an interstate has bears going through their yard. Chts getting weird.#sunyourballs

I've been wanting to try out BJJ for a while. I looked at some local places. I just can't commit the time to it. If I could find a once a week program, it would be perfect. I'd stretch to twice a week but I can't do thrice a week.

Wow. Geezers getting deep. Vex, I have felt like that for a very long time. This rat race we live, to get to the next level, so we can get to the next level, etc etc and then we die. Like... what are we doing? Why do we fight so hard to struggle? Because we do. The struggle is the next level. Then, we finally hit the sweet spot of no debt but we are old and can’t move and lost our fun years. So we just wait to die. Lots of money in the bank to die with... why?
Tx, don’t feel like you derailed the thread, unless you really don’t want to talk about it and that’s ok. But this is a great place to vent and see what the rest of us, in sort of similar places in life, can relate and give advice. Leaving a marriage is something I have never had to do. You shouldn’t have to live in such a toxic home though. I’m with vex, in terms of her sounding straight up toxic. But I’m also with bitty, that 9.5/10 times in my marriage, it is a communication issue and we are disconnected because we aren’t bothering to communicate and can’t fix issues because of it. Matt and I stayed up until 330 talking the other night because we had to. It sucks but it’s like poison in a person that needs to come out. However, Lying in counselling on her side and you getting in **** after counselling for speaking your truth is really ****ed up. I don’t think I’ve ever talked to you when your marriage was good except when she was blowing you every morning. So, what happened since then? Only answer if you WANT to talk about it, obviously.Squats and Maple syrup son. Squats and Maple syrup.

My wife's cousin's husband has a studio where he teaches BJJ. They live a couple hours away on the coast, so his gym is out for me, but I'm also interested in it. Seems kind of weird for a 40 something year old to get started in though. Feel like I'm going to get twisted up like a pretzel by a 12 year old.
I agree with Fawn, Tx. I don't want to pile on too much as I'm not in your shoes, so I'll just say it again. Hope you get it figured out soon. You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

The photo is supposed imply that the person in the mugshot (left) who was booked for the murder of George Floyd and the person in the screen grab (right) recorded murdering George Floyd are not the same person. Because it's clear that comparing a photograph to a blurry, pixelated, screed grab from a video is concrete evidence that the George Floyd murder is a false flag.

Kids BJJ is two nights a week, they actually go 4 nights now.
Monday/Wednesday 'socially distant' where you do solo drills and exercises, or if you are comfortable Tuesday/Thursday nights with a classmate that you are paired up with exclusively for the next couple months.
Its nice now because the class is effectively half the size, so 8 kids with a black belt and a couple purple belt helpers. Parents are no longer allowed in the gym without a mask on, there is however a legit Mexican place with a patio right across the street so things are working out so far.------♥♥-----

Just got a warning (both moral and financial) from one of my investment guys.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love a stock market rally just as much as the next fella; our core portfolio went from red to green on the newsflash below. But, frankly, this is moral hazard (egregiously dangerous and irresponsible, not to mention crony [hugely benefits Jerome Powell's old neighborhood [private equity]) to the absolute extreme:
"The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded just above the flatline, erasing a 236-point drop from earlier in the day. The S&P 500 was down marginally while the Nasdaq Composite traded just 0.2% lower.
In their changes, U.S. banking regulators made it easier for larger banks to invest in riskier funds such as venture capital funds. Regulators also relieved banks from having to build up cash safeguards against certain derivatives trades.
Bank stocks rallied across the board on the news. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup were all up more than 2%. Wells Fargo gained 3.6%. Goldman Sachs was up 3.1% and Morgan Stanley advanced 2.6%. The SPDR S&P Bank ETF (KBE) jumped to trade more than 2% higher."
Not in my wildest dreams! Considering the 2008 banking crisis...You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

This is what happens when you keep getting bailed out by your rich dad. You never learn a hard lesson. Yeah, let's do EXACTLY what got us into the 08 financial mess to make some quick mils before it crashes again. Dad will bail us out again because we're too big to fail.

It sounds like the banking institutions and private equity guys would be a good investment. I wouldn't stick with it on a long position though.
Agree wholeheartedly. Not only the banking sector, but the automotive sector as well. If the private sector is not willing to loan these douche bags any money, why should the general public?
And this is why I'm in favor of letting them fail. Had they failed in '07/'08, the bond holders would have taken over and assume they would put new management in place. Of course, the deposits would need to be shored up somehow.
Now, we have the same people willing to take the same risks that got them in trouble before. You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

The purpose of the Great Reset isn’t merely to enact policies that would lead to additional wealth redistribution, but rather to completely overhaul the world’s existing structures and institutionsYou don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

While I don't understand 100% what's going on, but from what I gather a reset is inevitable but there's a tug of war over America. In short, if globalists have their way we're headed for a derivative of one world gov't/currency, but if Trump is gonna MAGA then we'll reset back into a treasury note. But I'll believe it when I see it.

While i dont disagree banks run a little half cocked, forcing people to stay at home, not work, not collect a paycheck, lowering interest rates to below 0 to help out, and then making it inevitable a large portion of the population cant pay bills (such as a mortgage) is more of a government induced fisting than those idiot barkers at it again.

Another side effect of current events is even more money and assets are being shifted into the hands of the wealthy and away from everyone else. This is going to push a lot of middle class people down a rung. Business owners going under, etc. The wider that gap becomes the more unrest we'll see in the future. Eventually I feel like the lower class is going to turn on the upper class. We're already seeing the potential for widespread chaos with the riots and looting.

The lower and upper class teaming up against the middle goes all the way back to the times of Kings, barons and counts. Kings were afraid of the combined power of their vassals so they would rally the peasants against them. The US federal government has all but destroyed the power of the states and now that that's gone they are coming after the middle class. The only difference now is instead of kings we have federal bureaucrats and the corporate overlords that control them.
Trump has next to 0 institutional power. Everything he tries gets blocked, which is not an excuse for his inaction on a number of things. Trump is doing the only thing he can do to get himself a second term which is rally the market at the expense of long term stability.6'2"

I can't remember if I said anything but my son is in majors baseball this year and he was banished to right field and the bench.
I'm not one of those dads that thinks no matter what my kids are the greatest nor am I very competitive. But this coach is awful. He's the coach that almost made it to the big leagues but prob got hurt and now little league baseball is the only thing he knows. He is the guy you see on youtube vids starting fights with parents and other coaches. He's been warned multiple times about his temper too. He is also the coach that will do anything to win. This means benching the shi++y kids and only letting his top 5 play the infield. FYI, these kids are 9.
All in all, whatever. I've seen these guys before and although frustrating because he's responsible for so many kids quitting baseball, it will be over in a year and maybe my son will quit this pointless sport and go fishing with me more. But this coach was purposely putting my son on the bench for almost half the game and never let him leave right field. And it wasn't because he was the worst one on the team. I totally believe it was because he had a problem with me and how I pulled him from practice ONCE because we had shi+ to do.
Anyway, I blew up, got the regional and board members involved and made it a personal vendetta to get this guy removed (who also is the president of the league). I also told him to his face to quit trying to live some has-been life vicariously through his son which didn't go over well. Anyway, my demands were to either have him removed from the league or move my son to a different team, have him apologize to my son, and personally pay for his new jersey. He chose the latter and now he's on a new team with a fresh apology and jersey.
Anyway, not only is he liking it so much more, 4th in the batting order, and in the infield, but he got to pitch last night and it turns out he's really good at it. Moral of the story, you can find much more potential in letting kids be kids than pushing them towards something you never made it to.Toxic Masculinity

What better way to fire up the lunatic left base than put a guy like Trump in there. They're literally burning down the country and both republicans and democrats are doing nothing. I think they're in on it together.
I had the same sort of problems when my son started playing. There are a lot of dudes who failed at life out there trying to live vicariously through the kids. I ultimately remedied it by not only becoming a coach myself but also the vice president of the league so I could essentially axe any coach who was a problem.
