If I could actually attempt that, I would. A moose would kill me, of course. But I’ve been known to pull over and chase packs of turkeys in hopes of getting one. Geese are REALLY aggressive, so god never puts them in my path. Because I would fight a goose to the death. End up with my eyes pecked out.

My Dad has decided that he is going to reduce his days of work to 3 days a week. My mom is concerned because all my dad does is eat, drink and watch tv when he is home. My parents are 64. My dad is not an alcoholic (just to get make that clear). All my mom does, is eat and play stupid games on her tablet. She can’t drink because it makes her sick from a medication she is on. My dad goes through healthy times, where he walks every day and eats well and doesn’t drink. My mom doesn’t exercise. Ever. Both are overweight but my dad is that... big hard belly but lean everywhere else overweight. My mom is just fat and never goes through healthy times.

How do you even say “worry about yourself, not him”. She makes me nuts.

Wasn't prescribed. The last few years we've had some doozies. In August 2020 we burned up about 2.3 million acres of forest land. 1/2 of that was in one fire in northern Cali.

My Daughter's Hamster died

It hurts seeing her sobbing. She took care of him so well.

Cool thing is our dog (Chip) was right where we needed him. He stuck by her side all morning and pressed up against her. Dogs are awesome .

Goddamn life lessons. Breeding dogs and having the kids at the farm at such a young age definitely helped them understand be up close a personal with the circle of life.

When Cain was about 6 we realized the kennel dogs all had whipworm, so they had to be treated with a medication that is typically used for horses and goats. On the label, it said not to ingest the animal for 10 days after treatment. So I started telling my mom that she couldn’t eat Boris (her stud dog) for another 10 days. Cain was like “What?!?”. I told him that we were going to have to wait to eat Boris until the medicine was out of his system and he said “You are going to eat Boris?!?! You are going to kill and eat Boris?!?!” The he burst into tears and ran away. It was hilarious. I still laugh about that.

Our dogs are getting older. One we're waiting on lab results back and had discussions with the vet about getting t shots (unrelated to bloodwork). Imagine that for a dog. He was neutered very young and might be hastening his aging. In the last few weeks he has barely touched his dog food. This week started feeding him raw chunks of beef and he seems to be perking right up.

Have been most of the week. Things have been adjusting. I spent most of my time at my main house anyway. Seeing kids to school (then cooked breakfast, worked), being there when they got home. Invited back over for dinner, helped with homework, then to go sleep at my house. So, really I was just sleeping at the new place.

It seems she got the message about chilling out. Think I am going to come back, and then maintain the rental for a bit since I paid for it. Just in case.

back in the day, I had a 3 yr old bulldog with severe hip displaysia , he would just sit against the wall and whine
They gave me some glucosamine shots , they barely didn’t anything
So in my research, some gear that rhymes with Neca, was really good for joints and it promotes collagen synthesis
Ask my vet about it, he didn’t really think it would work
Sourced some from the gym, nobody believed my dog story, though it was for me
But it worked really well to the point you knew when he needed some as he would sit back against the wall( I would forget to give it to him so that was the reminder)

it is. Kind of awkward to pay for an empty house, but for now I have it and can afford it for a bit.

Not a real separation, and it didn't last more than a few days lol. And...it's super hard to be away from the kids. So I was still around the whole time. I was actually out of my mind for a couple weeks. Hazy.

Yeah saw similar stories, figured if it works for some conditions, it can work for others. Luckily we have a pretty open minded vet. Just depends on what we are able to do with whatever bloodwork shows.
