I feel they have the most to do with it. Notice that they target Blue areas with largely the same demographic. Folks that already have a disregard for law and safety for others. Folks that jump on the bandwagon with hyper-excitability. Just stir them up and let them go.

In the meantime, let a bunch out of jail due to COVID. Make new laws that keep folks OUT of jail. Let them go at it while most businesses are vacant and unprotected.

Or all could just be sheer coincidence.

Agreed. I was encouraging a bunch of friends to watch the latest DrinkinBros podcast (i think the silent majority one but it was from within the last 24 hours). One of the guys goes on a really good monologue about how chitty the media is and how culpable they are. Goes through things you DONT see. Like pics that you can find of protesters giving cops water for keeping them safe, the pics of white and black dudes with firearms protecting stores from looters, or covering how people seem to not know where these pallets of bricks come from, or the video Rogan posted of the one sheriff talking about how his cops are not the one dude and are here to make sure their voice is heard. Or how no one, no one, was going on defending this cop. We were all going "yeah this is BS" and now it's magically some HUUUUUUUGE issue when everyone agrees? All right when the growing sentiment is this Coronavirus reaction may have been excessive.

Something ain't stirring the kool-aid. We are living in a Batman movie. The Christopher Nolan universe. Random pallets of bricks appearing on city blocks, bad faith actors both physically and online. It's nuts. We're in the twilight zone.

Not much happening here either. BLM had a protest and marched to City Hall, put on a press conference/speaking arrangement and then went on their way. They even changed the time at the last minute to try to avoid the looters from instigating anything.
There was a seperate message going around social media calling for Riots in a large shopping area. The local BLM and NAACP quickly and loudly denounced the message and seperated themselves from it.

I've got a lot of respect for our local community.

Im a firm believer in keeping it simple, so i think it's antifa added in with the Media's need to have a story all the time to keep ratings going. Lets be honest, theyre all in the downturn because people are turning elsewhere for their sources and this is the death throw. The worst (right now) is CNN, and what I saw them putting on TV daily when i was warming up at the gym was laughable.

College kids in my town have rioted for everything from football games, summer festivals, and Osama bin Laden being killed (a mini celebration riot, srs). There was an organized protest-ish thing here this weekend, but surprisingly nothing got out of hand.

Funny thing, our governor is starting to cave too. We just started phase 2 (whatever that means). Originally it was take out only. Now...magically....today he changed his tune and out of nowhere in his press conf this afternoon says restaurants can do outdoor dining with some basic restrictions. TOMORROW. Friend of mine owns/operates one of the many places downtown and made a post basically saying "ok people, we're all trying to figure this out after what he said. PLEASE bear with us. AND SEE YOU TOMORROW!"

Half of my state is still in the 'red,' we went 'green' last week with restrictions. Just wondering if they anticipated the chit going down in Philthy. When I went down to get some beer from the place down the street last week, it wasn't packed. Talked to the bartender and they were kinda relieved there wasn't a big rush. But, considering the abrupt change in view. I wouldnt doubt they roll back the "no fans at the race track this summer" mandate.

I'm referring to the Pres election. May be too late, but thought he might be the dark horse.
