It is no more deadly than Influenza based on symptoms, only far more contagious due to the aforementioned.
They're both respiratory infections that are especially dangerous for the immunosuppressed.
The Influenza vaccine saves millions of lives every year, you just didn't know it.

no, it's around 1.6% in an industrialized country and more likely less than 1% since there are unreported or asymptomatic cases and for anyone under 60 it's more like 0.2% or so.

Takeaway is, unless you're over 60 or have some other condition, it's just like the flu
