Angry Mind = blown that UK government pays 80% of wages for every person laid off.

Considering the government says they can barely afford to buy standard hospital equipment..

Where the fuk is this money coming from?

How long is it going to take for us to repay this money with future taxes?

UK misc fam love to make fun of the US Health Care system (rightly so), but i've always said it's almost impossible to climb out of one's class in the UK because you alls taxes have taxes. Someone sent me a laptop for work when I was in Liverpool, and I had to pay 200pounds just to collect the bitch. If they taxed public intoxication UK would be the richest country in the world.

It’s coming from the fact that we’re going to be paying for it for probably the next decade. Expect income tax increases for all salary brackets, VAT increases etc.

There are people here in the UK going “see, we did have the money all along!” It’s like “fukhead, we’ve not paid for this yet; we’re paying later for years to come.”

I've not been laid off. Lots of us volunteered for the furlong pay because the company doesn't need that many people working. Once everything cools down I'll be back in work again.

Although I know someone who got laid off and isnt getting furlough pay because they ain't employed anymore.. that's a different case.

i'd love to keep every receipt for a year to see just how much of my money goes back to the government and single moms anyway through tax, national insurance and VAT.

I think i'd end up raging though.

What, an extra 5% on anything you earn over £150K, so what ?

First higher rate is 40% above 49k. Not paying that. Then I think it’s 50% at 150k (will never personally find out).

We all better pray that the MMT guys are right. This debt system can't continue forever. The state sponsored usury has to end at some point. It was made clear to everyone in 2008 that all major financial institutions are backed by the government.
