If he keeps listening to the CDC and stops with the irresponsible and dangerous rhetoric that it is "just the flu lol" or that people can go out soon, it will be great...we might be able to get thru this with minimized casualties. Yea, almost no one thought it would ever get to this level. With such a low mortality rate compared to previous corona viruses and how those were nothing in scale compared to this, the whole world slept on it until it was too late.

Sure, if you want to blame him for that technically you'd be right, but you'd have to throw in practically the entire world too. Almost no one REALISTICALLY (not talking about irrational hoarders) thought It would get to this level at that time. Hindsight is 20/20.

He hasn't handled it perfectly, I could see the argument for mediocre. But as a species we haven't faced anything on this level ever. 1918 was different. It may of been deadlier, but this is much faster.

AND he said he had a warm and productive conversation with President Xi about how China dealt with the virus and the future. He was not very hostile to China. I didn't hear "CHINESE VIRUS" from his mouth this time. He called it the invisible enemy and "this terrible virus". He really sounded presidential.

He had one angry baby moment where he bashed Jay Inslee for "not being appreciative" of what the federal govt is doing, but he otherwise sounded like he has adopted policy recommendations from people with brain cells. This is a great day. If he keeps on this track, we can minimize the casualties.

You can't be this stupid? Hopefully you realize there are entire departments dedicated to quantifying and extrapolating risks of incoming bioterrorism/infectious disease. What do you think they were telling him this entire time?

Your argument might hold weight if Trump was expected to know all of this on his own with no formal education/background in epidemiology or infectious disease.

He didn't listen to the experts and this is a result. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now hopefully things gets turned around for the better and we can all forget this siht ever happened in a few years :/

-Mobilized the DPA to get testing, PPE, and ventilators produced

Trump's doing such a great job that the US has 1/3 the number of cases Europe does and 1/3 the death rate.
