Nice! I keep looking at that bar but I just haven't had much luck with keeping multi-grip bars. Always end up selling them for some reason or another, never had one with the middle section split though. Hmmmn.

I didn't want one with the box in the middle and couldn't justify getting the T-Grip since I had a Troy 6' curl bar. Wellll, a guy buying something else wanted that curl bar , so it's gone and I immediately ordered the T-Grip.

If I hadn't just bought the Vulcan curl bar a few months ago, I'd be in the same boat as you. 230 shipped is a crazy sale.

Which American Barbell did you end up getting? The $230 sale or the $199 closeout?

Just ordered the same and also Urethane V-bar cable handle . Already have Elite FTS Cambered neutral grip one. So for angled grips this should work plus it is knurled which I like.

You and UL, gonna put me in a hole..lol..

Edit :I got the $230 one. Not taking a chance on the close out sales . Plus $30 difference is not that much

I dont really see what they could mess up on that bar though.. maybe a scratched powder coat? Honestly I'm worried that I'll get blank end caps or double tracked knurling on the bar I ordered. A discoloured stainless shaft or scratched chrome sleeves would be best case scenario I think.

It’s nuts trying to buy equipment right now. I’ve managed to pick up several things from Rogue but you almost just have to look and buy it right when they list it on their site.

I was looking at a specific item a couple days ago, woke up and looked...out of stock. I looked a couple hours later and what do you know...it’s in stock. I literally put my phone down and walked away from it for about an hour because I got tied up doing other things. I came back and it’s sold out again. It’s crazy.

All I've gotten are countless low balls on my York Roundheads. Lots more interest though, but 0% of them know that they're asking about vintage dumbbells.

The vast majority of those who have recently entered the market don't know (or care) about the difference between high-end and junk. The price/lb of junk has gone up exponentially, but the price/lb on premium plates, DBs, etc. has only gone up a small amount.

I purchased two Concept2 Model D rowers new. Now that it is sold out everywhere, I listed one for sale for $2000 CAD and sold it within a hour. notbad.jpeg. I kept the other one for myself.

The rogue rack I ordered should arrive this week. I am hyped.

Getting rid of the rest of my grip plates tomorrow. I'll be down to milled Yorks and bumpers until my loaned plates come back. It actually feels refreshing. I still have almost 2000 pounds still in the gym, but spread across all the racks and equipment almost none of what's left will collect dust now.

Still on the fence about getting rid of my model B and some pieces like my VKR, but I want to keep using a rower during this and I doubt specialized stuff like the VKR would sell any better than normal times.

Still have all 3 racks. Doubled down on my bastard half rack and put a Titan dual pull-up bar on, so now it's got 6 different brands of parts/accessories on it. Once Titan restocks I'm going to add a half rack conversion kit for plate storage, and probably some pull-up spheres.

I know the feeling...I just parted ways with 1700+lbs in plates yet I still have 1200lbs or so still in bumpers and other plates but it just doesn't feel like much. It's crazy how quick 1000lbs spreads out on racks and machines in a garage.

Listed these last night. I wanted to sell these for the past 7 years, but I knew they weren't worth the time for $10 bucks. I even donated the tricep bar that came w/ this. Kicking myself now. Listing was a for a single dumbbell handle w/ about #26. Found the other handle. Not taking the $50, just wanted to see if people bit.

I forgot that I have a really nice pair of standard Hampton db handles and two unused sets of 1" lockjaw clamps.

They'll be on ebay this evening.

I'll say one thing for this zombie apocalypse, I have seen some pretty incredible looking homemade racks surfacing on Instagram!

Check this one out, probably one of the best I have seen to date.

Damn you guys! I just ordered one too. I had been eyeing these every month or two. After selling the rower, had some cash burning a hole in my pocket. If I don't like it, it's a good time to sell!

Maybe should be its own thread, but I keep pondering getting rid of my GHD and RH during this madness and funding a combo unit. Anyone have thoughts on the Bells of Steel Reverse Hammer? The main problem I see with it is that the RH pad looks much shorter than the nicer ones for sale by Rogue/Dynamic. I use the RH more than the GHD, but I don't use either enough to justify spending 2k+ on the Rogue or Dynamic, and Titan's looks like absolute garbage.

I sold my 600lbs of Pendley competition bumpers as I only used them for DL's. Only York plates I sold are my 2 pairs of 75lb and 2 pairs of 100lb olympic plates, I still have over 4000lbs of 70's - 80's Yorks plus my roundhead set, so I'll probably be ok.

What do you guys think would be a good asking price for some IM equipment?

Thinking of parting w/ an IM bench w/ the accessories (leg ext/curl & ab attachment), hybrid pad & original. I tallied it up & can't believe I've spent close to $700 on this thing.

Same for the IM lat pull-down...probably another $6~700 into it.

I like and use both pieces...but am thinking of selling to fund other purchases. Not looking to gouge people...but don't want to undercut myself either.

Sold some plates the last two days & they were gone in like 15 minutes. Equipment seems to be moving a little slower...

I've still got 900 pounds of comp bumpers, but I doubt I'll sell them as I don't think I'll ever find as good of a deal as I did when I bought them, and even when the panic is over they'll still fetch a goodly amount if I ever need to sell. I've just moved some pairs to stay loaded on machines like the RH and lat pulldown instead of sitting unused on the plate rack.

I saw a a pair of those $4 Golds Gym spinlock handles and four 5 lb plates sell for $157 yesterday. That's what prompted me to list my Hampton handles.

Hey Al! Tell me about it...I sold off 265 lbs of Sports Authority grip plates for $1.50/lb! I probably could've posted them off for even higher, but the girl was real nice and I'm not a jerk lol.

Start with retail prices, maybe round down a little and see what happens.

You never know, it's hard to believe but in the current market you might get all your money back.
