Guy near me had 120lb Ironmasters for $1300 and it looks like they sold. Tempting to get rid of mine since I don't use them often but I hate selling things and then I'd have to rebuy them anyway for my heavier dumbbell work.

Well, you know where i stand on the issue. If I had a pair of Powerblocks or Ironmasters right now, even if you use them daily, I would sell them in a heartbeat. Chances are you will make enough for a brand new set AND put cash back in your pocket in a few months. DB's really are non-essential if you do barbell work, it's a luxury item.

Just listed my (great condition) Concept2 Model C on FB marketplace for the price of a new D. The offers and comments have been entertaining so far. It doesn't need to go, but for the right price it will. I can replace it in a few months. There's plenty of people paying nutty monthly numbers to the Orange Theories of the world. I'm sure there's a few people who would be willing to spend the money.

And that's the difference - the guys that buy routinely for home gyms will scoff at these above market prices. But they aren't the ones buying right now - the longer it goes the more "desperate" someone will get to maintain their gains - especially on "functional" stuff - weights, rowers, and air bikes - But I wouldn't be surprised if you get close to your asking price.

SOOOO, I listed my half rack yesterday thinking it wouldn't get very many looks, and I had about 5 messages within the first couple hours. Checked REP Fitness and saw they were not going to have racks in stock until May 2020, knowing their history on 'Coming Soon' who knows how long it will really take past that point to get an HR5000 or PR4000. DB's wouldn't have worried me at all. But possibly 3-4 months without a rack? Got scared and pulled it off the market LOL.

I'd say $1200 is a decent place to start, then you could always drop it in a week. My guess would be that $800-$1k is what you will end up getting depending on your area. I've already seen people acting like 'stimulus' checks will be play money on 'GarageGymReviews', it's amazing how people justify purchases so to some out there it might look like a 'free' Rogue Rack. It's sad that some people will use the money that way instead of saving it (or applying it to current debt), but it's likely true.

I keep looking at my squat stand, should I sell, should I keep, and it seems like:
I've been figuring out if I can get rid of the rest of my grip plates and ride out the storm with what I have left without having to move plates back and forth between the garage strongman stuff and the basement gym. Only suck thing would be having to use more bumper plates in the gym (only usually use them for deadlifts), and my belt squat maxes out with 5 of those a side, and I pretty commonly to exceed that with only a ~60% ratio. Maybe I'll have to do more reps or just burn out before belt squats.

If you can deal with one less station and use the other two for multiple movements and don't mind changing out a few things out, then you should go for it!
You'll land making more than enough back to pocket and buy again, or better once the smoke all clears.
As for the grip plates (if you aren't inconveniencing yourself too badly), they are selling at an all time premium with even the most cheap entry level olympic plates going for big pay outs (I'm sure even standards are fetching a pretty penny as well).

Just a DIY mech/jsquat wannabe dealy bob out of Titan parts. I've changed the kickstand around a number of times so it's got random stuff bolted on so it still goes up.
Edit: I think my phone has been sanitized too many times. Can't get clear pictures anymore
Edit again: It's eating words too. Madness.Last edited by murphyreedus; 03-31-2020 at 12:18 PM.

In reality it would be easy to work around having "only" one rack. I just don't want to sell off something only to buy something similar back again when the madness ends. The only thing I'd really change on this rack is "normal" plate storage posts. I bolted on some plate trees I had lying around, but it's a little annoying to use.

I could never justify the space for a dedicated belt squat like those (now I'll probably find a deal on one because I said this). I'd also get a combo GHD/RH and dump off the dedicated units if anyone sold an affordable one that didn't suck (wondering how Bells of Steel's is). Meanwhile, I've gotten sick of having multiple racks 3 or 4 times now, then keep buying one after being without for a few months. It's like, I go down to one rack and without fail my wife or someone with a widely different strength level or height wants to lift with me, and I start going crazy with changing plates and moving monolifts up and down. Then that person stops lifting with me and I start thinking "hey, I could put a leg press there" or something. It's a cycle.

I had an olympic bar which I've been meaning to sell for ages. Well, no better time than now. I listed it for less than what I bought it for and got a ton of emails in a few minutes. I upped the price but still sold it only at the price that I bought it for minus the sales tax. Still kept getting pinged and sold in 15 minutes! Just couldn't ask for more than what I paid. I'll never be a "rich" guy. But crazy times indeed!

I'm considering selling my Freemotion EXT Functional Trainer. Have offers for $2850. Purchased for $1500. I use it for for flys, curl, triceps but don't use it to its full potential. I have a lat pull/low row, full set of dumbbells. Can someone give me their thoughts?

If you guys want a perspective, from someone that sells equipment, as of right now mainly the "essentials" move at a premium. Power/Squat Racks, adjustable benches, bars, and free weights. And mainly the "free weights" are what is moving at ridiculous prices, via shippable items on eBay, because people would rather have the stuff sent to them rather than picking it up. In different areas, it could be slightly different, but overall it's quite the same. I've seen Rubber Hex Dumbbells selling for upwards of $7-8lb and those damn Bowflex Dumbbells we all don't like are the gold mine right now, selling anywhere between $800 (used) to $2k (New). DON'T GET TOO STUPID and list because you think everything is selling at premiums, try and reduce interaction amongst others as much as possible. It's definitely nice to either break even on something you've been wanting to get rid of or even make a little profit on, but just consider your health as well please. If you have a lot of smalls you want to get rid of like weights, dumbbells, etc. list them on eBay and ship them. I myself have halted all physical sales since last Tuesday and only continue to sell smalls on eBay. PLEASE BE SAFE.
