I had a friend that recovered last week, he said the following helped:
Hydrate + drink a lot of hot beverages
Paracetamol
Practice breathing exercises
Hot showers / Alternatively just let the water run on the highest heat & let the steam out
Sleep sitting down or not fully reclined if you have trouble breathing
Stay safe

Similar to the guidelines I was following. Pasting below if anyone wants to see.
Keep the bedroom or place of rest humid (use humidifier and turn off AC’s)
Sleep and rest with added elevation from additional pillows
Hydrate as much as possible
Stay warm, take hot showers, drink warm and hot fluids only.
Emergen-C packet (1000mg Vit C, Vit D, and Zinc) every 3-4 hours – Ideally 4000mg Vit C per day
Zinc Lozenges – 3-4x a day
Elderberry Lozenges – 3-4x a day
Turmeric Powder – 1tsp mixed with honey in warm milk
Quercetin 500mg 2x a day
Oregano Oil – 1 capsule a day
Different teas such as Peppermint and Licorice teas
Eating regularly with fruit for snacks and other good sources of electrolytes.
Tylenol (Acetaminophen) as needed.
Monitor temperature and blood oxygen (use of Oximeter) regularly. Blood oxygen levels should remain above 93 spO2. Hospitalization required under 90 spO2.

chest pain is my main and biggest symptom, most painful. no shortness of breath tho, no breathing problems now. bubbling sensation in stomach, stomach making loud noises all day long. sneeze/cough here and there. had some other flu like symptoms earlier in the week. on day 24 now. havent really taken any medicine and letting bod do it on its own not sure if good idea. sometimies random pain pops up in throat.
doc thinks its acid reflux or sometin, idk how i got that randomly, told me to take pantoprazole(have yet to try worry about sides), naproxen (took it once but felt worse so stopped), anti inflammatory steroid pack(yet to try).
idk if i have covid, what yall think? live with 5 family members and they are normal. also i have pain in middle of my chest/sternum when i press that area or when sitting turn my head down and exert forward as much, the bony part.
op r u coughing a lot? does it hurt ur chest when u cough? im barely coughing and doesn't hurt my chest.

Sorry just saw this now.
Make sure to supplement vitamin C, I’d also recommend Quercetin, NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine), Tumeric, and Oil of oregano.
I’m pretty well recovered now with the exception of what I’d call some residual lung weakness.
I’m likely getting tested for anti-bodies so I can then become a plasma donor.

Someone on another forum related to COVID described the lingering symptoms as feeling like being poisoned which I related to. I've never been poisoned but the feeling I thought it described was just being unwell, you can't put your finger on what your body is trying to tell you or do but you know it's off. Almost creepy because you feel improvements for a few hours or even days then it catches back up with you.
Today is day 31 since I began to recognize the symptoms and I'd say I feel 90%. I know I'm past the point of being able to seriously backslide but I still manage to get waves of minor symptoms still (can't say for sure these are all COVID related, if at all). Typically just a bad headache that lasts a day or so, easily winded from activity, lingering cough, and occasional fatigue out of no where. Nothing that would knock me out for a day but it's a nuisance.
Hope your relative gets well soon!

The thing about the Kung Flu that we're all going to have to come to grips with is this:
The quarantine will end, so we will all eventually be exposed to it. There may eventually be a vaccine, but that won't be here until long after the quarantine ends. You have to accept that it's out there in the population now and going back to life as usual means you will come across somebody who is infected and you will catch it. Some of us who will catch it after quarantine, will end up with a serious dose. It can't be avoided. Thus, this quarantine isn't really serving a purpose anymore. It's almost better to get it and get it over with because delaying exposure for a couple more months isn't going to matter anyway.
The only people who should stay in quarantine and hold out another year for a vaccine are the 60+ crowd and those with underlying conditions."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden

It was. It used to be about "flattening the curve". However, recent talk from government officials is that we'll be quarantined until there is a vaccine or until Fall. Some have even said we'll be quarantined for 18 months.
It's absurd.
All of this is voluntary. The government does not have the power to shut us down and force us to stay in our homes. Not at any level. Not only is this not a war, but even in case of war, they do not have the ability to declare martial law, suspend the bill of rights, and imprison people in their homes for months on end.
They work for us, not the other way around."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden
