Well if ppl get bored and decide to go out in 2 weeks, my million estimate will probably be pretty accurate.
That's what that 500k -> 20k uk study guy was saying. No distancing = 500k. The growth factor is very sensitive to distancing as indicated in the video. The video isn't using a full sophisticated model but the point is the same here.

Australia has cut daily new cases after ramping up the rules. Nowhere that has public gatherings is open, no gatherings of more than 10 people, but schools and most retail stores are open. Our daily new cases have dropped over the past few days. The US is behind us because they lack central organisation but I think it's coming soon as people chit themselves over whats happening so it should slow down fairly soon. At least I hope so.
EDIT
I'm a 20K-cel but that's based on the US leadership and population not behaving like absolute fuktards so you know...I'm not planning to die on that hill. Kind of concerning that GOP voters are way more likely to be in the 'it's just a flu bra' camp than they should be."A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

Deaths doubled in two days boyos. Case fatality rate is also getting higher, now at 1.6%. And hospital systems aren't even hitting crisis capacity levels yet.
A lot can happen in 30 days, but unfortunately we will easily hit 100,000. How much beyond that depends on the federal government response. It's hard to win an argument with a smart person. It's damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person. - Bill Murray

That guy is legit fukkin retarded.
And yeah, just saw today's big jump in deaths. You burgers really need to stay safe and actually practice social distancing religiously. This just isn't the kind of thing where you want to stubbornly hang on to your initial carelessness as it actually spreads and starts killing more and more.Misc Crypto Crew

I am personally hoping it’s only around 40k fatalities by May 1st (voted 20-50k a while back). Hopefully all the morons still throwing parties to prove a point stop being morons.
Saw some “news article” about a N.Y. dad refusing entry to his 21 year old son who won’t cancel spring break and went anyway. Gave him some groceries and sent him back to his college town. Maybe parents of Gen Z out there can take a hard stand like this. They said she's gone too far this time

Dr. Fauci predicts 100k-200k US deaths:
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/worl...-avoid-travel/
According to the article:
The confirmed global death toll surpassed 31,000 and new virus epicentres emerged in U.S. cities like Detroit, New Orleans and Chicago. Even rural America has not been immune, as virus hot spots erupt in Midwestern towns and Rocky Mountain ski havens.
Spain and Italy alone account for more than half of the world’s death toll, and are still seeing over 800 deaths a day each.
Experts say, however, that virus toll numbers across the world are being seriously under-represented because of limited testing and political decisions about which bodies to count. Unlike the U.S., France and Italy do not count deaths that take place at home or in nursing homes, even though nursing homes are known coronavirus incubators around the world.747 Driver

Came in bc we’re @ 2K, looks like that’s already been reported here. I voted 2-20k but felt like it was closer to 2 than 20, which is now unlikely.
Hopefully it’s still below 20,000 - really depends on the rate. Does it continue to grow every day, flatline or (eventually) drop off.
Right now, while any death is tragic, 2,000 people in a country of 320,000,000 is minor, it goes right back to Wincel’s fears, and whether this thing is just getting started or notAll truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I voted 20k to 50k. Thinking it’ll be on the lower side of that. We had 1000 deaths on Thursday. Now today, on Sunday, we’re at 2000 deaths. And there’s no sign on slow down. I’m expecting it to really ramp up in the next two weeks. Especially once it starts hitting the Midwest and then the west coast.
