    Talking Calistenichs VS weight lifting

Since the gym is closed I started to hit the bars instead, and I really like it, the pump makes you feel bulletproof, the day after my first day i was a different type of sore I have ever been. Can Calistenichs be just as good as weight lifting? Someone who has gains from Calistenichs who wants to share?

Calisthenics can achieve similar results up to a point, if you have a good program and can progressively overload. You can do this by gradually picking increasingly difficult exercises or by adding external weight (loaded backpack, weighted vest, dip belt).

When gyms open up again, you can incorporate weighted calisthenics into your weightlifting program, since it doesn't have to be either/or.

Weights just tend to be very practical in a broad sense for specifically gaining muscle mass. They are more geared for progressive overload with intensity.

There are other biomechanical ways to elicit muscle growth though, and calisthenics offer a good amount of development if you do them right.
