Had to take a short walk to another store and there's a group of female officers patrolling on foot. They stopped me as I was walking past them on the sidewalk and I'm like "Good day officers O_O"


One of them was like "Hey do you have on cologne? I could smell it on you as you were walking from over there" and she points to like 10 feet away lol.

Me: "Oh wow I didn't think I had on so much and people could smell it from that far, sorry about that"

Her friend: "Oh no don't apologize it smells so good, what cologne is it?"

I told them it was a Calvin Klein (it wasn't) and they went on a bit about how nice it (and Calvin Kleins in general) smell. Lol. And that was it.


Just a fun little compliment story, it's not often I get stopped by the popo for compliments.

Sotd: PDM Herod. Saw the talks this morning and put on a couple sprays. What blows my mind is how far away they smelled it though.

Fragrance isn't popular here but it doesn't take up much space to have a few showcases and it's always fun to get the occasional customer who is into them. Helping them find something they really like is very satisfying.

Which is fine, it's just not my style and most of the time people aren't asking because they want to look it up anyway, they're just making convo. You could just call a random brand name like Versace and they're happy with that.

And yes I do end up with frags sometimes that people haven't bought in years, and it ends up being a vintage formulation or just gets discontinued. I have never smelled a fragrance go bad as long as it was stored decently.
